DIVIDING FRACTIONS SHEET 1

To divide two fractions, follow these two simple steps:
• invert the divisor (swap the numerator and denominator of the second
fraction) and change the division operator to a multiplication operator.
• multiply the two fractions together.
The second fraction has been inverted.

Example 3 ÷ 2 = 3 x 7 =
21
4 7 4 2 8

Work out these fraction divisions. Your answer can be left as an improper fraction
and does not need to be in simplest form.
