Decorated fish is one of the many commodities that have significant economic value.
Commodity selected in field practie activity (PKL) which is fish of Botia India Botia lohachata
and Electric Blue Jack Dempsey Cichalosoma octofasciatum. Botia India come from India, Nepal,
Banglades, and Pakistan. Botia India have a rounded figure long and flat to the side with a body
length of 10 cm, with no scale with a lower mouth. Electric Blue Jack Dempsey Cichalosoma
octofasciatum which is a mutated Jack Dempsey fish that produces a blue colour.
Parent Botia India is kept in aquarium with the size for male 100 cm × 50 cm × 35 cm,
thickness of glass 8 mm, with high water 25 cm , and volume 125 L, for female 180 cm × 50 cm
× 35 cm, thickness of glass 8 mm, high water 28 cm, volume 250 L. Parent Botia India are fed
with blooodworm. Feeding time was given three times a day at the 08:30, 13:00, and 16:00 WIB.
Water quality management is done by making two times water changes a week. Water quality
management by cleaning filters, casting, and changing water as much 30%-40%.
The spawning technique used for Botia india is a seminatural spawning technique. A
seminatural spawning is a spawning done by human interference using hormones for the stimulate.
The ripe parent gonads are stimaluated with thelp of a hormone of ovaprim as a syndel ovaprim
with a dose 1,2 ml kg-1 for female and 0,8 ml kg-1 for male. Spawning Botia India using sex ratio
or comparison 1 female : 4 male with the amount of fish to spawn 10 female and 40 male.
The larvae are nourish by ambient density 5.000 fish aquarium-1. Nourish Botia india has
result survival rate (SR) as much 80%. Seeds that have reached total length of 1-1,5 cm is harvested
partial by 7.000 fish cycle-1. The feeding of these wich is Artemia sp. and Tubifex sp. who entered
age 19 days until seeds harvested or entered age 45 days. Feeding time was given three times a
day at the 08:30, 13:15, and 16:00 WIB with methode at satiation. Cleaning the aquarium container
and sponge filters are done once a week. Water changes were made as much 40%-50%. Botia India
seeds are more susceptible to the disease of the velvet caused by pathogens Piscinoodinium sp..
The prevention and treatment of fish involves soaking as much salt as 1,5 g L-1, besides use salt,
fish can also use oxytetracycline by dosage 15 mg L-1. Blitz icht can also be given as a preventive
process with doses 0,02 mg L-1. Fish oh Botia India which has ripe for harvesting at Bogorian
Aquatic Farm have 2 size, which is size of rayak or seeds with size 1-1,5 cm and nursery 1,8-2,5
cm. Density of fish in plastic packing for hatchery as 250 fish pockets-1 and for nursey as 200 fish
pockets-1.
Parent Electric Blue Jack Dempsey (EBJD) is kept in aquarium with the size 100 cm × 50
cm × 35 cm. Parent. Feeding time was given three times a day at the 08:00, 12:00, and 16:00 WIB.
The feeding of these wich is Artemia sp. and Tubifex sp and for parent is bloodworm with methode
at satiation. Identifying features female f gonad is its genny hole, bulgy and reddish in color, having
a big, rounded stomach and a female's size smaller than a male, whereas a full - grown male is its
genomic hole, quite distinct and reddish in color.
Seeds is have harvested which is for the size 2,5 cm or entered age 45 days. Seeds that
were to be harvested beforehand had to be satisfied or picked out during the day. Gratification
aims to prevent the fish from stressing out on the trip according to the jhingan and pullin statements
(1985) It states that the stress of transporting is caused by high metabolic activity, so dissolved

wih sex ratio 1:1 in the aquarium with the size 100 cm × 50 cm x 30 cm. The aquarium can be
stocked with four pairs of tuxes and bordered with a wall at the aquarium so that the aquarium
divides into four sections, with ceramic or clay dishes placed in every fixed space. The ceramic
function as a attach to EBJD's egg. The process of spawning starts with the male removes the
substrate by tail and flier, and the female secretes eggs over the substrata. The male fertilizes the
egg released by the female by extracting a sperm cell over an egg on the substrate. The fertilized
egg is guarded by the female by refusing to allow the male to approach the egg. Substrates are
separated from the mother to incubate the eggs, substrats are transferred to the aquarium which
has given metylen blue as much 0,2 g L-1. Incubation of the egg must be done to make the process
of rapid regeneration of the mother as well as the minimizing of the larvae by the parent.
