After recalling the saddest and happiest moments of your life, answer the following
guide questions:

1. What do you feel after recalling the happiest and saddest moments of your life?

It felt rather nostalgic. There was happiness, longing, hope, forlorn, love, and

a plethora of other emotions. I can’t help but experience a feeling of

emptiness when I think about them—the glimpses of bygone times.

Nonetheless, I’m genuinely happy that they happened and that I’m still here.

Able to hope, able to feel, and able to carry on.

2. How do you see them in the light of faith (i.e., being aware of God’s blessings or
challenged during the difficult moments, etc.)?

I’m not much for religious dogma and its semantics, but I God has his

moments. I’m aware of what he does and what he can do based on what I’ve

learned about him. We’re not really on speaking terms, but I guess I can say

that I’m grateful. Even though most of the time I’m not inclined to keep in

touch, there’s still that urge I can feel—Man’s longing for the divine and all its

glory, or rather his intrinsic objective curiosity.

3. To what period/s of the "Journey of the Church" you can connect your experiences
(happiest and saddest) and why? (You may choose at least two (2) Period/s to connect
them)

I can connect my happiest moment and saddest moment from when I was 17 to the
Persecution of Early Christians by Nero. Everything was going rather well, I was
improving in my studies, gaining back my confidence again, and many more—but
then it struck me that I got lost on the way. Everything suddenly sunk. I was torn
piece by piece by overthought sentiments of being astray.
