Shahbaz Ahmed
Managing Director

An Environmentalist with more than Ten (10) years of experience in the field of
Environmental Consultancy. He has done his Masters in Environmental Studies from Karachi
University in 2012 and M. Phil in Environmental Science from Bahria University in 2015. He
also has obtained training in Environmental Management System (ISO 14001), Quality
Management System (ISO 9001), Air Pollution Modeling, and Green Productivity.

He has expertise in Environmental and Social Assessment, Auditing, Environmental

Management, Project management, coordination with clients and EPAs. He has worked as a
team leader and project coordinator for several projects. He has vast experience of working
with a range of industries including, Real estate (Multistory residential and commercial
building projects), manufacturing and processing industry, Textile, Food industry, Plastic,
Packaging, steel industry, Pharmaceuticals, Healthcare, Oil and Gas sector, Power Plants,
Logistics, Cement Plant, Wastewater Treatment Plants, Waste Management and recycling
contractors, poultry, etc.

Samreen Syed
Director

She has completed her M.Sc. in Environmental Studies from Karachi University in 2012. She
is a seasoned environmentalist having experience working in various environmental
assessment studies. She has expertise in project coordination, technical and financial bid
preparation, and looking after management matters. She has experience in delivering lectures
on environmental issues and managing environmental awareness projects.

Syed Waqas Qadri

Environment, Health and Safety Expert

He is a highly talented Professional with ten (10) years of cumulative work experience in the
field of Environment, Occupational Health and Safety. Areas of expertise are;
Development/Implementation/Certification of EHS Management System (based on ISO
14001 & OHSAS 18001), EHS Audits, Environmental Impact Assessment, Occupational
Hazards and Risk Assessment, Fire Prevention, Safety and Management, Development of
EHS Management Plan, and Training and Capacity Building of Industrial Workers. Worked
on large and medium scaled commercial Environmental projects during construction and
operational phases under various sectors such as Sugar Manufacturing, Power Plants, Oil &
Gas sector including Refineries, Gas Processing Units, LPG Extraction Units, Textiles,
Pharmaceuticals, Food & Beverages, Chemicals, Automotive industry, Infrastructure
(Buildings, Housing and Road Projects), and Wastewater Treatment Plant and Other Projects.

He has completed the Lead Auditor courses of OHSAS 18001:2007 and EMS ISO
14001:2004 respectively. He also has completed courses of International General Certificates
(IGC) on Occupational Health and Safety from NEBOSH and Managing Safely Training
from IOSH.

ZAGHUM ABBAS
Environmentalist

He is an Environmentalist with more than six (06) years of experience in environmental

consultancy. He has completed his MS and BS in Environmental Sciences from University of
Punjab in 2007 and 2010 respectively. He also has completed Post Graduate Diplomas in
Environmental Law and Occupational Health and Safety from University of Punjab. Among
the professional trainings he has completed, include OHSE Law, Respiratory Protection,
Construction Safety, Risk assessment and First Aid.

His core competencies include the development and Gap analysis of Environmental
Management systems as per ISO 14001 Standards, Environmental Risk Analysis, Hospital
waste management & Risk assessment, and conducting Environmental assessment studies
i.e., Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) & Initial Environmental Examination (IEE). He
has completed various IEE and EIA studies for industries including Garments Manufacturing
and Embroidery Unit, Manufacturing Unit for Industrial Machinery, Plastic industry, Food
Processing, Fish Processing, Flour Mills, recycling industry, Lubricants Manufacturing Unit
Auto Parts manufacturing unit, Steel Re-rolling Industries, Pharmaceuticals, and Warehouses.

Shan Ahmed
Environmentalist and Waste Management Specialist

Mr. Shan Ahmed is a PEC registered Environmentalist with a Master’s degree in

“Environmental Engineering Management” from NED University of Engineering and
Technology, Karachi, and a Bachelor’s Degree in “Energy and Environment Engineering”
from the Quaid-e-Awam University of Engineering, Science and Technology, Nawabshah.
He has multidisciplinary experience of more than five (05) years in the field of
Environmental Engineering and Management, his portfolio is full of different remote/ on-site
projects and office work. He has Conducted Environmental Studies and prepared
environmental management reports including Initial Environmental Examinations (IEE),
Environmental Assessment Checklists, Environmental Audits, Environmental Management
Plans (EMP), Hospital waste Management Plans, Hazardous and non-hazardous waste
management plans, Hazardous Substances Management Plans, Compliance status reports,
etc. He has completed various environmental assignments for a range of industries including
the real estate sector, construction and infrastructure projects, hospitals, pathological/
chemical & environmental testing laboratories, and manufacturing industries e.g.,
Pharmaceutical, food industries, meat processing, poultry, feed manufacturing, chemical
industries, edible oil mills, textile and garment industry, etc.

He has more than three (03) years of experience as a Waste Management Specialist. He has
hands-on experience in Healthcare Waste Management while working with the Development
sector at different primary and secondary hospitals of Sindh. He also has experience in
conducting training and counseling sessions related to healthcare waste management and
occupational health and safety.

He has sound knowledge of national environmental laws and international guidelines e.g.,
WHO and Asian development bank.

Ghulam Mustafa
Environmentalist

He is an Environmentalist who completed his BS and MS in Environmental Sciences from

International Islamic University Islamabad. He is a young and enthusiastic professional
having experience working in different EIA and IEE projects. He has hands-on experience in
planning and conducting field surveys and developing Baseline profiles of the project area.
Some of the key projects he has worked on include ESIA of TAPI Gas Pipeline, EIA of
KASMY Pack Pvt. Ltd, District Kasur, EIA of Flexible Rotogravure industry of Roshan
Packages, Sundar Industrial Estates, Lahore, IEE of Harris Flour Mill Pindi Gheb, District
Attock, IEE of Quality 1 Petroleum Pvt. Ltd., District Sahiwal and IEE of Exceed Petroleum
Pvt. Ltd., District Sahiwal.

Rida Obaid
Environmentalist
Rida Obaid has done graduation in Environmental Sciences and has begun her career as an
Environmental Consultant. She holds a strong grip in identification of environmental aspects
in the industry and evaluates impacts as per its magnitude. She provides appropriate
mitigation measures and devise management plan for the implementation of measures to
reduce the negative environmental impacts.
