Activities: 1) Assist in at least three (3) surgical cases as scrub nurse and at least three (3) surgical cases as circulating nurse
2) Perform immediate post-op nursing care in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
3) Assist in the transfer of perioperative patients from stretcher to bed and vice versa
4) Participate in the aftercare after assisted surgical procedures

Roles: Scrub Nurse, Circulating Nurse, PACU Nurse

Reminders: 1) The CI must be with the student for the entire duration of the surgical procedure.
2) Three (3) students will be assigned inside the OR at any given time. For groups with 4 or 5 students, 1 or 2 students will be assigned in the PACU to decongest the OR.
3) Meal breaks must not exceed 15 minutes and must be done only at the designated area. Eating together as a group is discouraged, thus CIs must schedule meal breaks.
4) Minimum public health standards and infection control and preventive measures must be strictly enforced.
