TEACHER’S ACTIVITY PUPIL’S ACTIVITY

Mother: Hello Anak, Good morning. How are

you today?
Daughter: I am fine, Ma. You know what? I
had a dream last night. In my dream, I was
flying. I wish I could fly so I can go to other
places for free.

Who are the characters of the story and

what did Jessica tell her mother? The character of the of short dialogue are
Elma and Jessica. Jessica told her mother that
in her dream she can fly, and she hope that
she can fly so she can go anywhere.

Amazing! You got it right. Can Jessica fly

in real life? No, sir!

You are right, a person cannot fly in real

life. A person that flies appears only in fictional
movies or stories. Okay, from the dialogue you
have heard, what do you think would be our
topic is all about? (The student’s answer may vary.)

D. Presentation

Okay, you have an idea. So, our topic for

today is all about Real or Make Believe, Fact
or Non-Fact images. At the end of the lesson,
I am expecting you to identify real or make-
believe, fact or non-fact images, am I clear? Yes, sir!

Are you ready to learn?

Yes, sir!

E. Discussion

Since you are all ready now, I will show

you a video clip coming from a movie. What
are you doing to do is to watch and observe
because after I show you the clip, I will ask
you a few questions? And, after which, you
were going to identify what is real and what is
make-believe, understand? Yes Sir!

(The teacher will play short video clip of the

movie MIRACLE FROM HEAVEN.)
TEACHER’S ACTIVITY PUPIL’S ACTIVITY

(The students watched the short video

clip.)
Are you familiar with that movie?

(The student’s answer may vary.)

The short clip that I have play is a movie

entitled “Miracle from Heaven”. What did the
character do in the movie?

 The kids are playing.

 The family are eating,
 The children went to school.
Okay, all of your answers are correct.
Based on the movie you have seen
 Do kids play in real life?
 Can people eat food
 Do kids go to school to learn?
 Can a man drive a motorcycle?
Yes, sir!
Very good. The first clip falls under
reality. Okay, kindly read every one.
Reality / Real Image
is TRUE; they are FACTS that can be
proven. They can witness and experienced
by a person.
EXAMPLES:
1. Dogs bark when they see a stranger.
2. Regine Velasquez can sing better in
live performance.
3. I cried in pain when I touched the
burning candle

Take note that when identifying

statements that express reality one should
look on to things, ideas, and events based on
real-life experiences using the five senses
such as:
 Seeing
 Hearing
 Testing
 Smelling
 Feeling

How about this second clip? Watch and

observe.

(The teacher will play the clip.)

TEACHER’S ACTIVITY PUPIL’S ACTIVITY

(The students watch the video.)

Are you familiar with that movie? That

movie is lifted from “The Beauty and The
Beast. Based on the clips that you have
watched,
 Can a curtain talk?
 Can pots talk and sing?
 Can piano play on its own?
 Does half mean and half-beast really
exist?
No, sir!

Exactly, the second clip falls under MAKE-

BELIEVE. Please read class.
Fantasy / Make-believe Images
Have no EXISTENCE; they are NOT
TRUE; they are in our imagination; they are
NON-FACT and difficult to PROVEN.
EXAMPLES:
1. I can lift a house-like rock.
2. My superpower is to uproot a large
tree.
3. Ben can run faster than a cheetah

Take note, that make-believe images are

just created in our mind and imagination.
Most of the time, they are exaggerative that is
why they are unbelievable to happen and
exist.

E. DEVELOPING MASTERY

LIGHT OR GREEN LIGHT!”. I want you to
stand in your respective chair and go to the
center of the classroom. The instructions are I

F. GENERALIZATION

Okay, let’s have a review about our lesson

for today. What are Reality Images, Arnel?

Reality are real images.

Exactly, Reality is real, true existence,
and it is a fact that can be proven. Reality or
real images are those that can exist in the real
world and are not just merely products of
imagination. If there is a basis of its existence
and they can be seen, heard, smelled, taste,
and even felt they are reality or real images.
On other hand, when we can say fantasy,
Jeddah?
Fantasy images are not real and they are
not existing.

be proven. Fantasy or make-believe images
are created by the mind and imagination. They
cannot be seen, heard, felt, smell nor tasted.

Bea lives in a small town of

Barangay Sta. Rita in the town of Oton.
Every day, she wakes up early to go to
their farm and to feed their family’s
carabao.

That day, after her morning routine,

she decided to drop by her favorite spot
by the pond. She sat down for a couple
of minutes and talked to her reflection in
the water. Her mother had once talked to
her about the Diwata appearing in the
water of the pond. Anybody who talks to
her reflection by the water will see the
Diwata and can make a wish. So, Bea
tried her luck.

When Bea was about to open her

mouth, a beautiful face appeared, surely
not her reflection. Because she wanted
to prove that it was real, she rubbed her
eyes again and again. To her dismay,
when she looked at the water, the face
suddenly disappeared.

Bea was disappointed for missing

her chance to talk to the Diwata. She
