C. Lesson Proper

1. Discussion

Our lesson for today is about “Real or

Make-believe, Fact or Non-Fact Images”.
Looking back at the pictures you have
seen, which of these are real?

Real or Fact Images- Talks about things,

actions, or events that can happen in real
life. It means they are real, factual,
believable, and existent because we can
see, hear, feel, taste, or touch them.

For example: everybody read the sentence

The horse runs fast.

This is an example of real or fact image

and statement because many of us seen
how fast the horse runs. We usually see it
in farm, and in some provinces, they use it
as a means of transportation.

Example 2: everybody read the sentence

The farmers are planting rice at the rice

field.

This image is real, factual, believable, and

existent because this event is happening in
real life. Farmers are planting various
crops to provide us the food that we need
to survive. They plant rice seedlings at the
paddy field.

Therefore, real or fact images are true and

have enough evidence to provide their
existence. Did you understand class?

Yes Teacher!

Make-believe or non-fact images- talks

about things, actions, or events that cannot
happen in life. It means they are false,
unreal, unbelievable, fantasy, or imaginary
because we cannot see, hear, feel, taste, or
touch them.
For example: everybody read the sentence

Olaf is a snowman that have life created

by Elsa and Ana

This is an example of a make-believe or

non-fact images and statement since there
is no talking snowman in real life. Even if
we haven’t seen one here in the
Philippines, there is no scientific research
about it, or it doesn’t have any proof of
existence. Olaf is created just to entertain
the children.

Example 2: Are you familiar with the

Filipino tv series, Encantadia?

Yes teacher!

The tv show is a fantasy drama with main

characters that controls the four elements
of earth. Have you seen a person
controlling the fire, water, wind, and the
land?
No teacher

Yes, because it is made from imagination

and will never happen in real life and that’s
what makes it a make-believe or non-fact
images. Is the clear class?

Yes teacher
Very good!

make-believe event. Write R for Real and

group’s activity.

real or make-believe and paste them based
in their appropriate column.

present the activity and share how your
group did your task.

Did you understand class?

Yes teacher!

E. Generalization

Class did you understand our lesson?

Yes, Teacher

Are you sure?

Yes, Teacher

Let us sum up all the lesson for today.

Again, when we say real or fact images
and statements, what does it mean?

Real or fact images and statements are real

because we already saw them in real life.

Very good! what about make-believe or

non-fact images?
Make-believe or non-fact images are not real
because there are no proof that they exist.
That is correct!

Give me an example of real or fact images

and statement? Anyone?

(Learners will answer)

That’s right how about make-believe and

non-fact images and statement?
(Learners will answer)

Very good class! It seems that you really

understand our lesson today.
F. Valuing

Why do we study real or make believe,

fact or non-fact images and statement?

Growing children have imaginations

without boundaries. Your exposure to
fairytale stories made you all think that life
is full of magic and mystery. Everyone
must learn to be honest about what we see
in our surroundings. If you can identify
reality from make-believe, you can make
wise judgements or decisions, or won’t
even easily get fooled by what you see
around them, on the internet, or social
media.

Is that clear class?

Yes teacher
