ENGLISH INFORMATIVE/PERSUASIVE SPEECH OUTLINE

Introduction:

(Introductory greetings: Name, age, other personal details)

To my beloved teacher and classmates, I present myself today to claim the position of vice president
here in our class. I am assured that most of the students in St Anne already know me by now as that one
“tahimik” student that enjoys spending his time reading/gossiping. Some might also remember me as
the student who fell down the stairs during a health break. So if you do, I assure you that the level of the
embarrassment of being “that kid” is beyond imagination. However, despite all of that, I present myself
to take a position in leadership and also to take a huge leap in my life as a young man. For most of my
life, I have been unheard and outspoken. Believe me when I say that I once had that feeling of being an
outsider and an outcast. Since entering this school for the very first time for face-to-face classes, I have
met many wonderful people and new friends. At first, I was very nervous about joining a whole new
environment but I am pleased to know that I am spending a wonderful time here at Saint joseph’s
institute. Nevertheless, my fellow batchmates, our voices do matter. Regardless of age, our opinions and
views about certain matters have great value.

Body:

If you would entrust me with your vote and confidence, I will certainly participate in student discussions
regarding important affairs and be their bridge of sentiments. Be it about festival set-ups, the diversity
that relates to our orientations, ways to study more proficiently, mental health issues, social and
governance issues, or just providing an opportunity for students to express their concerns about
personal issues (that involve the school) or their subjects. By communicating with everyone, I would also
want to challenge my abilities and do everything that I can to make sure they feel represented. With
help from my fellow candidates, no problems can be impossible. Above all, I believe my most important
goal is to be a contributing unit to change and manifest all things that the student body stands for. If
elected, I must fulfill the obligations that come with this position and I assure you that they will be faced
with strong confidence. I have the desirable qualities that you can find in a Good vice president namely
approachability, courage, honesty, Empathy, accountability, passion, and so much more.

Conclusion:

Over time, I have developed a great admiration for teachers and administrators as they have done a
great job in maintaining a friendly school community. However, If I were to be elected as vice-president,
the social order of our class would significantly improve over time. Although I have not yet fully
integrated with the entire section, I am well acquainted with everybody’s identity and social circles.
With the foregoing premise, I, therefore, conclude that I am deserving of the position that I am aiming
to accomplish. Let us make this school year fun and exciting so I humbly ask everyone to cast your vote
for me. Once again, I am Kenner B. Lipaen, running to be your grade 9 Vice president.
