Question and answer
● In ppt, it is said that one of the reasons why novel is rejected because The Author Lacks
a Strong Voice. What is strong voice means here and how to build it? – Rosalinda Indah
Answer:
The lack of a strong voice in the written work by the author can weaken the emotions
contained in the work of fiction. for example the lack of emotional emphasis on the
character so that the character cannot be real. try to add figure of speech and other
elements that make the character feel like living in real life.

● can u please explain more about Ambiguous plot points, including even the work’s
conclusion in the part of characteristic of fiction? maybe to support u example, u can
also give the example of the sentence please? – Elma Pratiwi
Answer:
An ambiguous plot means a plot that not easy to predict and gets a hyperbole factor that
makes the story more interesting.
Question and answer

● in your opinion how to start making fiction writing? – Julyesvicka Gita Darmahatari
Answer:
First we have to think about the theme that we will make the story. Then, secondly, make an
outline of the story first. after that create our fictional character and develop his character or
stance. then add the background place, time. after that make the story roughly in the form of
a draft. then complete the draft by correcting grammar, sentence errors or typos. add words
such as figure of speech or words that can beautify the storyline. Finally, submit to the
editor and comply with requests from the editor if there are errors in the work of fiction
until your fiction can be published.
Question and answer
● So one of the reasons why the novel is rejected is the category or genre is wrong. My
question is what's the meaning? Is it due to internal or external errors? It's like, for
example, the author tells the publisher that the novel is romance, but it turns out that a
thriller was sent, or it's like claiming that the author of the novel is romance and it turns
out that's the plot is romance only in the first part and the rest is mixed with thriller? –
Sarah Azizah
Answer:
In this situation, we looking from a publisher or the editor's point of view. so the author tells
one genre and the publisher will reject the novel if the genre is not suited to the novel.
Question and answer
● can you explain more about, bad mechanic and lackluster witing? – Nova Khaeriza
Answer:
Bad mechanics and lackluster writing are indeed one of the reasons why a novel is rejected.
This means that there are errors in the writing in our works of fiction, be it in the form of
grammar, wording, or typos. therefore they reject it because the work of fiction must be as
perfect as possible so that it can be published and readers are interested and interested in
buying and reading our fiction books.
