Commissioning Procedure – MA/MARG Agitators

The Brandt MA/MARG-XX Agitators should be installed according with Brandt


specifications.

- Check the Installation and complete the attached Installation checklist.

- Energize the motor to check the shaft rotation. The impeller should rotate
clockwise when viewed from above. To change the direction of impeller
rotation, simply switch any two lead wires at the starter controls or at the
motor.

- Run the Agitator for 15 minutes, and complete the attached Commissioning
checklist.

Notes:
- Agitator should operate with no vibration.

- During Normal Operation, there is no cause for alarm unless the temperature
exceeds 100F over ambient temperature for long-terms periods.

- Some contact between shaft and stabilizer is normal during operation, but
immediately correct any hard striking

NOTE: IF ANY OF THE CHECK POINTS FAIL (N), PLEASE REFER TO THE
MANUAL TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM OR CONTACT BRANDT.
