I. Title: Ang Buhay ng Isang Bayani

II. Introduction

The documentary film "Ang Buhay ng Isang Bayani" depicts the life of our National Hero,
Dr. Jose P. Rizal. He is a Filipino who has overcome numerous obstacles in his life. Despite his
many accomplishments and pursuits, he never brags in front of his countrymen. The writings of
Dr. Jose Rizal were so powerful that they were used to criticize several politicians, especially
abusive Spaniards. We were able to gain our freedom after 333 years as slaves thanks to his
efforts. in place of guns and weapons It was his life that enabled him to use his pen to conquer
the Spaniards.

The documentary film demonstrates how Jose Rizal lived his life by his own ideas and
principles. Despite having a better life and coming from a middle-class family, he was moved by
the suffering of Filipinos at the hands of the Spaniards who ruled the country at the time. He
expressed his feelings and opinions about the country's political situation through poetry, novels,
and books. Those writings are extremely powerful in that they criticize several politicians,
particularly abusive Spaniards. His works emphasized how the Church treated the people, the
Filipino people's experiences, and the law implemented by the Spaniards, and those in power did
not agree with how Rizal described them. I recently realized how ironic it was that Rizal was
ousted from his own country because of rebellion.

Another remarkable thing at the time was betrayal, in which Rizal believed that
individuals he called friends would support him in pursuing his goals, similar to what happened in
Spain when he lost the election. I initially believed that Rizal could quickly go over that situation,
but I just knew from the movie that he is the kind of person who is unable to easily forget
traumatic events in his life. It was fortunate that he still has dependable, trustworthy friends in
certain European nations who assisted him in getting his book published.
I have no idea how he feels in light of the terrible events that struck him and his family. They
suffered as a result of that rebellion against the Spaniards. Despite the consequences, Rizal fights
for it, but it is not an easy battle. He was abandoned with nothing but his writing, far from his
family, and discouraged in pursuing his plans, so he tried to move on, live his life, and forget about
the Philippines. But, in the end, his love for his country is crucial.
III. Reaction to the Documentary

After seeing the entire documentary of Dr. Jose Rizal's birth and life up to his passing, I
was genuinely interested in what I learned. I had no idea that someone could pick up so much
knowledge so quickly. He was 35 years old when he passed away on December 30, 1896. Not just
the abilities that God has given him, but more so his mindset, is what I find most amazing about
him. Because he never wants revenge on anyone, he is not weak. Even if it's difficult to forget the
suffering and loss that occurred in his life, which was occasionally brought on by others, he knows
how to forgive, and that's what makes him stronger. He disregarded the criticism he received from
those who have opposing views, much like Einstein did, and this demonstrates his intelligence.
The capacity to adapt is the true test of intellect. While he was unable to alter the state of the
globe, he was able to alter the destiny of our country and the lives of the Filipino people. He
delivered us from the Spanish grip and delivered us from the suffering they had caused by killing
so many innocent people while in power.

IV. Conclusion

There are many lessons in Rizal's life that we can apply to our own lives. His determination to
complete his novels despite dealing with a variety of difficulties made me understand that if we
are serious about achieving our goals, we must teach ourselves how to be resilient in the face of
uncertainty. In those days, Rizal experienced hunger and financial hardship yet he persisted. With
this, I was able to remember that we should adopt Rizal's philosophy in order to banish depression
and other negative emotions. Despite the fact that Rizal passed so young, I am always in
admiration of how he lived.
