Subject: Maintenance and repair Requirements of Mechanical Engineering Dept. of

UIET KUK

It is submitted that Following maintenance and repair work is required in Mechanical

Engineering Dept. of UIET KUK.

1. There is a regular nuisance problem of Pigeons entering through exhaust fans in the
toilets of the Mechanical engineering Dept. All the washrooms should have Iron
net(Jaalli) along with all the exhaust fans in the toilets.

2. The door of top floor boys toilet is broken and requires repair.

3. The door of class room (Room no. 408) on 2 nd floor also requires repair.

4. There is an urgent requirement to close the opening on the top of all the walls from
1st floor onwards for gas pipe well.

5. There is a requirement of cycle stand for at least 12 cars on the front side of the
dept.

6. There is a requirement of grills on the windows of all the rooms for safety purpose
in the Mechanical block to avoid any untoward incidence in the future.

7. The lights of the roof in most of the rooms are bit dimmer and require replacement.

8. There is a need to install multi point T-joint in the plumbing pipes of Foundry
engineering lab.

9. There is a requirement of slabs in Materials engg. Lab on Top floor and Foundry
engineering lab on ground floor of Mechanical block.

10. There is a requirement of Lift as per the mandatory standards of AICTE in the
department.

It is requested to arrange for the maintenance work on priority basis.
