Participant registration

Some presenters will require you to register before you can participate in activities. This is common in higher
education and increasingly used in corporate training cases. Registering will allow presenters to score and
track your responses (sort of like an automated electronic grade book).

Frequently, presenters will send out a registration link before the first session. You can also search for a
presenter by screen name to register with them. Alternately, if you attempt to participate in an activity
without being registered, you’ll be directed to the registration page. Below you’ll find detailed steps for each
of these scenarios.

Helpful tip: You only need to register once for each account, not with each presenter on an account. For
example, if you attend the University of Awesomeness, you won’t have to register with each Awesome
Professor. One registration will apply to them all.

Search by presenter username

Step 1: Go to pollev.com/register in your browser.

Step 2: Enter the presenter’s username in the dialog box and tap Search.

Step 3: Select Register on the confirmation screen. (If you’re not logged in, you will be asked to log in or
create an account.)

Step 4: Tap Join presentation to participate in the presenters activities.

Using a registration link

Your presenter may ask you to register with their account using a link they provide you. Use the following
steps if that is the case:

Step 1: Click the link you were sent, or copy and paste it into your web browser.

Step 2: Select Register on the confirmation screen. (If you’re not logged in, you will be asked to log in or
create an account.)

Helpful tip: If you’ve previously registered for this, or another presenter on the same account, you won’t see
this confirmation screen.

Presentation already in progress

If you attempt to participate in an activity which requires registration and you are not yet registered with the
presenter’s account, you will be taken to the registration page.

Step 1: Select Register on the confirmation screen. (If you’re not yet logged in, you will be asked to log in or
create an account.)

Helpful tip: If you’ve previously registered for this, or another presenter on the same account, you won’t see
this confirmation screen.

Step 2: Tap Join presentation to participate in the presenters activities.

Helpful tip: If you are unable to register with a presenter, chances are participant self registration has been
deactivated on the account. Check out the Participants cannot self-register article for more details.
