ANTI-DECAY VACCINE
Most people have had dental
problems which start with a simple
toothache. No matter how well one
brushes his teeth, sooner or later
cavities are formed which later cause
tooth decay.
Today, scientists are busy
experimenting to discover a vaccine
that would make people immune to
tooth decay.

A MOTHER’s EXPECTATION
Mrs. Cruz was very proud of her son,
Juanito. Since Juanito was in Grade
One, he had always topped his class. He
had been a gold medalist for four years.
Now, Mother was expecting another
gold medal for Juanito.
A few weeks before the closing of
school, Juanito got sick. He missed
most of his lessons. Luckily though, he
passed all his tests.
On Awards Day, Mother was waiting
to be invited. But she was not.

THE FARMER

set. One day, Mang Tonyo failed to work on his
farm. A doctor came to visit him and told him
that he must not work on his fields again.

Jose woke up early on Sunday morning.

some brushes, pieces of cloth, and a bottle
of liquid shoe polish. He went around the
streets shouting something. By ten o’clock
he had already earned Php50.00. he had
the feeling that he would be earning much
that day before he left the house.
