The Legend of Fionne

South of Trepura a strange ritual is performed. At the
end of Morgat, the villagers descend to the beach along a
winding stair cut into the cliff. ey carry lit candles and
follow behind a young woman. Little more than a child,
she walks to the edge of the sea. e girl pulls a ring from
her finger and shouts “Death to Goedeke,” throwing the
band of metal as far into the waters as she can. en she
turns and walks back up the beach. So starts the Feast of
Fionne, a holy day in the Peonian church.
