General requirements for Visitors

Requirements for personal hygiene and behaviors proportional to the hazard posed to the process area or product shall be
established and documented. All personnel, visitors and contractors shall be required to comply with the documented
requirements.

Standards of personal hygiene are a must for all people working with food products and must be in line with the image that
Nestlé portrays to our clients and consumers.

General requirements for Contractors

Visitors and 3rd parties must respect routines at barriers, with no exceptions to facility rules being permitted.

Visitors and Contractors:

All visitors to the factory must be informed of the rules and practices to be
respected during their stay.
Visits for publicity purposes ( e.g.. School classes ), must follow specific
predefined circuits which ensures adequate protection to the visitor and the
product.
Visitors shall not be allowed to approach lines with open product.

Professional visits ( tractors, technicians, Nestle etc. ) must wear a similar


protective gear as worn by personnel in the areas visited.
All personnel, both temporary and permanent, as well as contractors, must
receive training related to their jobs, their points of contact with food or
products, their behavior and all other matters that concern food safety and
hygiene.

Specific details:

Contractors are companies on either fixed or open term contracts (typically providing
maintenance, construction, gardening services, security services, pest control,
catering, milk tanker deliveries, etc.) . Contractor Employees work for the contractor
and are not on the Nestlé salary/ wage payroll and are NOT generally, directly
supervised by Nestlé.
