This kahoot will allow the students to a share how they feel about using
numberlines to round multidigit numbers. This Kahoot can be used as a
pre-assessment to determine what prior knowledge the students have about
rounding multi-digit numbers.

Exploration The teacher will model how to create a numberline to use to round multi-digit
numbers. The students will create numberlines on their independent
whiteboards using dry-erase markers. The teacher will go through several
problems on the board in which the students will place the numbers on the
numberline and the correct place value markers that the number could be
rounded. The teacher and paraprofessional will observe students' whiteboards
to assist with any individualized instruction that may be needed.

Exploration Students will complete the SplashLearn assigned activity on Rounding.

Assessment https://uss.splashlearn.com/uss/NbU7MVCz This activity begins with the students
being shown a visual of the number on the number line. The students will receive
instant feedback during this activity. If the answer is correct, the students will receive
coins. If the answer is incorrect, the students will receive an explanation about the
correct choice. All questions have the ability to read aloud for students with an IEP or
IELP. Students will complete this activity on their chromebooks.

to mult-digit numbers. The students will share their Blooket code with the class to
allow other students to play.

Evaluation The following rubric and Quizziz will be used to assess students' understanding
of rounding multi-digit numbers. All proficient skills are marked 3 points. All
Emerging skills are marked 2 points. All Beginning skills are marked 1 point.
