ACKNOWLEDGMENT

First and foremost, it is our great honor to express our deepest gratitude to the

Northern Mindanao Colleges Incorporated for the life-changing opportunities it offers

that honed and paved the way for our brighter future. It is our great privilege and honor

to fulfill our dream under this prestigious institution.

Our sincere appreciation to our adviser and professor, our ever-supportive Dean,

Madam Esmeralda Castillon, for the continuous and invaluable support to our study and

research for her patience and motivation, enthusiasm, and immense knowledge. Her

guidance, dynamism, vision, sincerity and motivation have deeply inspired us in all the

time of research and writing of this thesis. We could not have imagined having a better

adviser and mentor for our baccalaureate study in Bachelor of Science in Criminology.

Our sincere thanks also goes to the management of Coast Guard Sub-Station of

Tubay under the leadership of CG CPO ELADIO B. DAMA, for allowing us to secure the

needed data which are vital for the realization of this research.

The completion of this research could not have been accomplished without the

support of our dear parents who have been untiringly supporting us both in financial and

spiritual aspects of our study. Their advice has been our guiding lamp that illuminates

our way and cast away the shadows of worries in our journey.

Finally, praises and thanks to God Almighty, for his showers of blessings

throughout this research work that led to the success of this project. His divine

providence and enlightenment constantly keep us in the right tracts that made our every

effort consistent and valuable.
