Define the following concepts in 100 words but not less than 50 words.

1.Society
Society define as a group of people with a common territory, interaction, and culture. Wherein
These groups consist of two or more varied people who interact and also identify themselves
with one another. It could also be an organization or association of persons that is engaged in a
common profession, activity, or interest. According to my research in sociology society can be
define and known as communities as well, wherein organized communities with the same shared
laws, traditions, and values. In brief these people, organization or association that stays in a
common territory, shares common beliefs and culture.
2.Community
Community define as a group of people living in the same place or having a particular
characteristic or a likeness in common. One characteristic of a community is that for you to be
able to be a part of a specific community the member should essentially reside in the same
geographic place to define themselves as a community. This is very essential to an individual to
reside first to be called a part of a certain community wherein you’ll be able to know the living
and the interest of the people living in a certain community. There are different communities
within one social unit as well. Just like for example, within one society there are different
communities based on the profession: fishing community, farming community, etc. In my
community farming is the mostly the occupation of the people.
3.School Culture
School culture according to Fullan it can be defined as the guiding beliefs and values evident in
the way a school operates. ‘School culture’ can be used to encompass all the attitudes, expected
behaviors and values that impact how the school operates. It is more likely on how the school
work or function to a certain rules and regulations to be follow by the staffs, and students. The
importance of the school culture is to help students and the staff to maintain a friendly
environment to everyone wherein being free from discrimination and bullies is a safety place for
everyone.

Explain the importance of the following philosophies to education.


4.Idealism
Idealism in education can define as education should not only stress development of the mind but
also encourage students to focus on all things of lasting value. Wherein the focus of the idealism
philosophies in education is to train students that need further instruction in character
development, also in creating or strengthening morals and values in each of the students, all
while teaching the basic core curriculum that is taught in a typical school. This is an a great
development for a student to teach them things while they’re still young, so that when they grow
up they know how to show respect to others.
5.Existentialism
Existentialism is believing that every individual is unique and education must cater to the
individual differences. We all know that all people have differences and being different to others
is the one that making us unique and special to others. Therefore, the objective of existentialism
to education is to enable every individual to develop his unique qualities, to harness his
potentialities and cultivate his individualities.
6.Progressivism
Progressivism is by believing that individuality, progress, and change are fundamental to one’s
education. Having progress and achieving something form the things you make is a great
achievement for an individual. Inside the classroom the teachers are able to know if the students
is having progress in class is by giving them projects and activities through that ways he or she is
ale to track the students progress, by believing that people learn best from what they consider
most relevant to their lives, progressivists center their curricula on the needs, experiences,
interests, and abilities of students.

Differentiate the Difference


7.Consensus vs Conflict
Consensus can be define as what social groups have in common, while conflict stresses the fact
that different groups in have widely varying access to power and wealth. The difference of the
two is that consensus is agreed by everyone. While conflict is something that not everyone is
agreed on because everyone has different opinions and beliefs in a certain situations. That’s their
differences but in fact, their primary stress is on completely opposite forms of human action,
making these forms the center of all human society.
