⾺太效應 (Matthew Effect)
美國哥倫⽐亞⼤學社會學家羅伯特‧莫頓 (Robert K. Merton)
在1986年提出，他引⽤⾺太福⾳25:14-30所描述三位僕⼈按才能受託付管理錢財的⽐喻, 及⾺太福⾳
13:12 耶穌的教訓, 提出了「⾺太效應」(Matthew Effect) 。

太25:29 凡是有的,還要賜給他,使他豐⾜有餘;
凡是沒有的,連他僅有的也要拿⾛。

「⾺太效應」指出
• 為強者愈強, 弱者越弱之現象，這種的兩極分化現象。
• 即是
- 貧者愈貧, 富者愈富;
- 好的愈好，壞的愈壞;
- 多的愈多, 少的愈少,
• 只要有好的開始, 就如雪球般越做越好, 越賺越多, ⼤⼤提⾼成功的機會

到底這段⾺太福⾳25:14-30 與「⾺太效應」是怎樣的關係？

• 僕⼈C選擇不去了解, 不去認識其他僕⼈們的準備⼯作, 卻只是選擇錯誤地

去揣摸主⼈的⼼思，計算過各⽅⾯利害之後，以為⾃⼰去做了⼜保險⼜安
全的事!

• 耶穌以⾦錢作隱喻，⺫的只是為了講故事需要有⼈物和劇情!

• 這樣⽐喻就成為⼀個完整的場景故事, 提醒聽眾做好適當的回應, 做好準備

⼯作。
經⽂應⽤與限制
不要過度解釋銀⼦表徵什麼

• 若是認為這個⽐喻, 認真地談論財富倍增, 便會以為耶穌正在⿎勵信徒要有

賺取更⾼, 或是成為⼤企業家, 努⼒不懈尋找創富之道。

• 許多追求卓越 , 信奉成功神學的教會或信徒, 使⽤⾺太福⾳25:26節, 去合

理化貧者越貧, 富者越富的罪惡，單單相信錢財增⻑就是神賜福給⼈的明
顯證據, 忘記了運⽤⾺太福⾳6章19-34 (Two Masters)作對照, 反思耶穌論
述⾦錢的看法。

• ⽐喻本質的「教訓」不是望⽂⽣義，不需過度解釋, 不需過度去尋找銀⼦
表徵是什麼的恩賜! 沒有⼈會反對基督徒要努⼒學習做個稱職的好管家，

準備的重要性

• ⼗個童⼥的⽐喻 (25:1-13) 和 忠⼼僕⼈的⽐喻 (25:14-30)，同樣表達「準備

的重要性」! 無論是低估了迎接新郎所需的預備，還是⾼估了主⼈所需的預
備，其實同樣地預備不⾜。

• 那位⼜惡⼜懶的僕⼈(25:24-25)的⾃辯中，他認為了解主⼈的性格，認為把
銀錢埋藏在⼟裏，能夠證實⾃⼰有責任感, 沒有失去主⼈所交付的錢財。

• ⽐喻的中⼼信息勸勉我們, 不要像僕⼈C⼀樣, 懼怕達不到⺫標⽽輕⾔放棄。

• 到底我們應該為主再來作何怎樣的準備，這正是耶穌運⽤⽐喻的⼒量, 啟發
聽眾去思考如何回應。

1. 我懼怕⾃⼰成為⼜惡⼜懶的僕⼈嗎? 還是我被「努⼒成功論」影響?

2. 我的⼈⽣⺫標是什麼? 到底主耶穌要我準備什麼?
i) 透過倍增財富, 不斷增加⾃⼰所擁有的資產嗎?
ii) 不斷增值⾃⼰ , 拿到更多更⾼的學位, 或是專業地位嗎?
iii) 不斷參與教會事⼯, 帶領更多⼈信耶穌, 倍增參與教會的⼈數嗎?
iv) 我是否去賺盡 ?! 拿著「成敗論英雄」的道理, 做主的⾨徒嗎?

3. 如何與⾃⼰和好? 仍然在尋求 「成功⾒証」的⽣命嗎?
