REAL LIFE SITUATION
STUDENT NAME: REEM MAHMOOD SALMAN
ID: 20198025
INSTRUCTOR: DR.MONA ALDOSSARY
DESCRIPTION
I HAVE CHOOSE ZALLAQ SPRINGS AS THE ENVIRONMENT FOR REVEALING THE EIGHT HEURISTIC
DESIGNS THAT CONNECT THE LANDSCAPE ELEMENTS THAT GIVE THE PLACE VITALITY.
◦ THE USE OF ART (landmark-sculpture): It does not exist, but a flamingo statue can be created because
the location is well-known for it, attracting many visitors.
◦ CREATIVE SPACES: There is a space for a variety of events that add vitality to the area while working to
attract visitors (Fig1).
◦ SPACES TO PLSAY: There is a maze in the area that increases the enjoyment of both children and adults,
as well as a hopscotch game that encourages children to play (FIG2-3).
◦ WELLNESS SPACES: There is no outdoor sports equipment, but visitors can use empty spaces, paths, and
walkways for cycling and yoga.
◦ CALM SPACES: There are quiet and secluded areas in various locations where natural spaces and water
features abound, away from the noise of restaurants, that are ideal for contemplation and calm (FIG4-5).
◦ NATURAL SPACES: The entire area overlooks natural areas, artificial lakes, and fountains in the center,
with various plants (FIG6-7).
◦ FOOD: There are a variety of restaurants with both outdoor and indoor seating (FIG8-9).
◦ COLLABORATIVE SPACES: They do not exist in and of themselves, but when events are activated through
them, people can meet and make new acquaintances.
