Bantayan, Dumaguete City, The said activity will be on June 28, 2022, 6AM-12PM in the morning. The organization's agenda is to seek unity towards native folk men within the city in the leadership of the organization to act as one in collecting trash, cleaning the shoreline, and collecting dangerous debris near the coast. With this idea, they are not just cleaning the coast but protecting the marine biodiversity of the location. Pre-Orientation, focus group discussion and short seminar will be done other than the cleaning proper. The BAA-Youth Coalition aims to vanguard endangered marine biodiversity here in the country which is aligned on their advocacies, mission, and vision of the organization. The organization also wants to voice out awareness towards marine life conservation and the urgency to respond to environmental-related issues. With these intentions at hand, they aim to revitalize the beauty of the Pearl orient of the Seas, 6AM-12PM (6hrs duration) Silliman Beach, Brgy. RATIONALE Project PAKABANA: Marine life conservation Movement, Coastal Clean-Up Drive facilitate waste minimization, reduction, and reuse, as well as public knowledge of environmental protection issues. It promotes unity among people to participate towards the restoration of the coastal area. This project also contributes to the conservation of marine life, the improvement of the natural environment, and the gathering of new content concerning the state of our shores and the contaminants that pollute them, Ill, OBJECTIVES A. TERMINAL OBJECTIVE Upon successful completion of this program, the coast of Silliman Beach will be: © Be free from contamination due to pollution brought by garbage in the coastline and present on the sea, © The marine biodiversity of Silliman Beach will be protected from further damages. * Be a safe space not just for marine life but also for humans who ought to visit Silliman Beach. © Less hazards and risks for the local residents near Silliman Beach due to hazardous debris present on the coastline. © Bring back the original beauty of Silliman beach and restore the serene environment for the benefit of everyone Page 3 of 9 B. ENABLING OBJECTIVES The people who will be participating in the clean-up drive will be: * Be cautious of their garbage and trash and shall observe cleanliness near the beach. Be aware of various marine life-related issues and their certain causes. © Embody Values and ethics discussed and learned in the focus group discussion and seminar. © Continue the Advocacies thought in the activity even after the clean-up drive. Meet new acquaintances and gain new friends in the activity, IV. METHODOLOGY A. Pre-Implementation Layout and Formatting of the Proposal Proper (2023) The day mentioned will be reserved for the meeting and brainstorming for the activities, amenities, collaborations, and various aspects of the project that needs to be accomplished beforehand, Collaboration prospects with ENRO, the YES-O committee, and the local Bantayan barangay officials will be properly discussed to scope out the needed requirements and estimated time and cost of the project to be approved. Sending of requests and collaborations (2023) The parties involved for the project, namely ENRO, YES-O, and the Bantayan Local officials will be duly contacted and inquired with the project and the approval of the proposal will be sent and acquired within the set week. The required permits, reservations, and accommodations needed are to be met and approved by the governing committee. Finalization of Schedules and Objectives (2023) A final meeting will be held to set and finalize the schedules and objectives to be met within the day of the activity; the allocation of costs, timetable, and collaboration requirements will also be discussed and finalized within the meeting Page 4 of 9 Acquiring of Equipment and amenities needed (2023) The collected equipment, amenities, and miscellaneous paraphernalia required for the proposed activity will be duly acquired within these days to avoid complications and issues within the set date for the activity. Preparation and Finalization of the Venue The two days before the event will be reserved for the preparation of the venue; delivery, collection, and acquiring of equipment will be observed within these days. The day before the event proper will be the checking and finalization of the event. Last minute revisions and emergency needs will be met and settled within the two days reserved. B. PARTICIPANTS: The Silliman Beach Coastal Clean-up Drive, which will be held at Barangay Bantayan, Dumaguete City, intends to engage people in removing garbage and debris from Silliman Beach and to raise awareness about the scope of the microplastic pollution problem.
