Key Objectives
At the end of the program, participants will be able to …

understand on the requirement of how to manage chemical safely. Compliance with


legal requirement posed by Occupational Safety & Health Act and Environment Quality
Act, is the most important strategy for a company to use and handle chemicals safely
and without risks at workplace. The participants will be explained on how to manage
chemicals from the purchasing stage until disposal of chemicals. The training approach
would be from the aspect of chemical documentation and chemical handling, until the
stage of chemical emergency response. It is also important that the participants learn
regarding the compliance strategy.

Trainer’s Biodata

Marini is an accomplished consultant, having amassed 20 years of management and


consulting experience in the areas of chemicals and workplace safety environments
mainly the CHRA (Chemical Health Risk Assessment) requirements. Graduated in
chemistry from University of Malaya and obtained Masters Degree in Occupational
Safety & Health Risk Management, she has become a trainer, facilitator and consultant
in the areas of Occupational Safety, Health and Environment, specializing in hazardous
materials management in many leading MNC and GLC organizations, namely TNB,
FELDA etc. She has been a competent Safety and Health Officer (SHO) since 2001 and
CHRA Assessor, since 2008.

She regularly speaks in public seminars on safety and health issues including seminars
conducted by government agencies such as DOSH, DOE and NGOs. She is one of the
associate trainers for NIOSH and Consist College for competency courses of Safety &
Health Officer and CHRA Assessor. She is also a part time lecturer and course advisor
in KLIA College and Consist College for OSH Diploma courses.

In her capacity as a consultant, Marini brings her technical competencies, merges them
with her vast experience in dealing with various industries and government agencies
requirements to ensure the training sessions are highly interactive as she believes that,
with proper guidance, all safety practitioners can achieve being high performance people
for long term career achievement.

CANCELLATION There will be no refund for cancellation within 2 days prior to the programme,
50% for cancellation between 3 – 6 days and full refund for cancellation 7
days prior to the programme. Please inform in writing if you intend to cancel.
A replacement can be accepted at no additional cost.
