2022. Budapest International Veteran Competition

and European Veterans Circuit in foil and epee

Date: 2022 September 17-18.

Venue: Gerevich Aladár Nemzeti Sportcsarnok, 1146 Budapest, Istvánmezei út 3-5.

Events: Women’s and men’s EVC foil competition (V1, V2, V3, V4)
Women’s and men’s EVC epee competition (V1, V2, V3, V4)
Women’s and men’s sabre competition (V1, V2, V3, V4)

Program: September 17., Saturday

from 8.30: weapon control ;

from 9.00: entries
10.00: women’s foil, men’s foil
13.00: women’s sabre, men’s sabre,

September 18, Sunday

from 7.30: weapon control

from 8.00: entries
9.00: men’s epée
12.00: women’s epée
The starting time of each event may change depending on the number of participants!

Participants: For participants from abroad the (Annex) is not necessary after the sanitary limitations
are lifted.

Fencers from outside Europe are welcome to participate in Circuit Events but may not be
awarded as EuroVet Fencer of the Year.

Registration: The deadline for registration is Saturday, September 10, 2022. Please send the
registration on http://veteran-hunfencing.eu/registration

No entries will be accepted on spot.

Check-in: No later than 30 minutes prior to the start of the event, at the DT.

Entry fee: 40 euro/person/weapon to be paid on the spot.

 Formula: Compliant with EVF guidelines – one round of pools followed by direct
elimination.
If there are fewer than 12 fencers in a category, they join the nearer and younger
age category for the poule round.

Referees: Organizers provide referees.

Awards: Awarding will be held for each age category (1st, 2nd, and two 3rd places)

Medical service: The organizers provide medical service in the venue.

Age groups: V1 (40+) : 1983-1974
V2 (50+) : 1973-1964
V3 (60+) : 1963-1954
V4 (70+ ) : 1953→…

Equipment: According to the rules of the Hungarian Fencing Federation:

Fencing suit 350N or 800N (FIE) with under plastron (800N), mask 1600N (FIE) with the new fixing technology is compulsory.
Use of chest protector is compulsory for women and suggested for men. The national color and name on the fencing suit
is recommended but not required.

Weapon control: will be carried out by the referees ont he piste.

The organizers reserve the right to exclude fencers with improper equipment form the competition.
