1. Cite and discuss any issue/s concerning ICT implementation in the

country today particularly in the field of education.
By means of the innovations in Information and Communication Technology, people are
able to rapidly learn and transfer information.. Keeping up with those innovations, the
integration of ICT in education is the demand of time at present as ICT is being used in
many other sectors all over the world. It urges the teachers to be skillful in operating ICT
during their teaching. However, there are some barriers for the teachers that prevent
them to use ICT in the classroom. These are the following ; Lack of Training,Lack of
appropriate software,Lack of Competence and Lack of appropriate material.
First is lack of Training, Official training regarding ICT integration in teaching and
learning never been conducted to the teachers. It makes them feel clueless about how
to integrate ICT in proper way. Second is lack of appropriate software, this is also an
issue concerning ICT implementation since appropriate software in educational use
which is practical and flexible are limit and rarely to be found. Third is lack of
Competence, Teachers usually mastered to operate basic software like Microsoft word
and Power point however when it comes into a complex use of technology to support
the learning, the lack of competence to operate an education application occurred to
become one of the challenges faced by the teachers. Lastly Lack of appropriate
material, From many sources on the internet, there is no material which is made to
support classroom learning. Teachers often have to filter material that suits their needs
from the internet.
In conclusion, as it is found that the teachers face some barriers in integrating ICT in
teaching. Government should plan a training so that Teachers will be equipped with
adequate knowledge of the current practice of the integration of ICT.
2. Differentiate traditional and conventional teaching-learning process. Cite
concrete evidence and scenarios why both styles are equally important in
providing quality education.

Teaching styles have changed significantly over the years.

Traditional Teaching is the old-fashioned way of teaching was all about recitation, for
example students would sit in silence, while one student after another would take it in
turns to recite the lesson, until each one had been called upon. The teacher would listen
to each student’s recitation, and they were expected to study and memorize the
assignments. At the end of the module a written test or oral examination would be
conducted; this process was called an Assignment Study Recitation Test.
The way in which traditional methods were taught ensured that students were rewarded
for their efforts, used class periods efficiently and exercised clear rules to manage
students’ behaviour. They were based on established customs that had been used
successfully in schools over many years. Traditional Teaching provides quality
education since the way in which traditional methods were taught allow the teachers to
communicate knowledge and enforced standards of behaviour to their students.
Conventional Learning as well provide quality education in a way that it help us to know
more about technology. For example because of conventional teaching we were able to
enhance our skill in editing, in making PPT presentation, how to use Microsoft word and
Excel. This provide quality education because this kind of teaching prepare us how to
integrate technology in teaching.
