WHAT IS PHILOSOPHY MEANING AND PURPOSE?

-Quite literally, the term "philosophy" means, "love of wisdom." In a broad


sense, philosophy is an activity people undertake when they seek to understand
fundamental truths about themselves, the world in which they live, and their
relationships to the world and to each other.

first principles of being, identity and change, space and
time, causality, necessity, and possibility.
A. ONTOLOGY is a branch of metaphysics dealing with the nature of
being.
3.) LOGIC - studies the scope and nature of logic.

4.) AXIOLOGY - the study of the nature of value and valuation, and of
the kinds of things that are valuable
A. ETHICS Is a moral principles that govern a person's behaviour or the
conducting of an activity.
B. AESTHETICS the philosophical study of art.
