Technology: Effectiveness of ICT Integration in Schools
ICT integration in education refers to the incorporation of computer-based
communication into the daily classroom teaching process. The goal of ICT
integration is to improve and raise the quality, accessibility, and cost-
effectiveness of instruction delivery to students. It also refers to the benefits of
networking learning communities to meet the present globalization issues.
ICT integration in education generally means technology-based teaching
and learning process that closely relates to the utilization of learning technologies
in schools. Due to the fact that students are familiar with technology and they will
learn better within technology-based environment, the issue of ICT integration in
schools, specifically in the classroom is vital. This is because the use of technology
in education has a significant impact on pedagogical aspects, since the usage of
ICT will lead to successful learning with the help and support of ICT elements and
components.
It is true to suggest that technology-based tools and equipment can help
students learn practically any subject, starting with mathematics, physics,
languages, and other key fields. In addition, ICT gives assistance and support for
both teachers and students when it comes to successful learning using computers
to fulfill the purpose of learning aids. Computers and technology are not meant to
be replacements for good teachers; rather, they are seen as supplementary tools
for better teaching and learning. The requirement for ICT integration in training is
significant, on the grounds that with the assistance of innovation, educating and
learning isn't just occurring in the school climate, yet in addition can happen
regardless of whether educators and understudies are genuinely in distance.
Nonetheless, ICT integration is anything but a one-venture learning measure, yet
it is a consistent course of discovering that gives proactive instructing learning
climate.
The bottom line is that students will gain from ICT integration since they
will no longer be constrained by a limited curriculum and resources; instead,
hands-on activities in a technology-based course will be geared to encourage their
comprehension of the subject. It also assists teachers in developing lesson plans
that are successful, creative, and engaging for students, resulting in active
learning.
