Subject : Concerns regarding academic issues of my daughters.

Dear Miss Maria,

I,Mrs.Sadia Sikander(mother of Zoya Sikander (Grade 4B) and Ayna Siknder (Grade1B)), am writing to
you regarding few concerns regarding academics related to my daughters.I have previously discussed
these issues earlier in the school today.

I belivee that the Soar Stem School having a sound aim to promote conceptual studies would
understand my concerns because I want my children to be knowledgeable and learned.I am presenting
the matters relavent to each of my daughters separately as below:

Class- 4B

Please keep in view that assessments are around the corner and to make concepts clearer, each and
every subject in school matters and need to be taught in most comprehensive manner.

 5 weeks had gone by and only 3 out of 10 Computer classes have taken place. As per my
knowledge, oral test would be conducted and I assume kids will only be able to answer what
these 3 classes would have taught them, excluding what other topics may be given in the
syllabus.
 4 out of 10 Robotic classes have taken place. Robotics is a practical subject and when school
believes in practicality and conceptual based studies, regular classes are very important to make
a child perfect in this area of subject.
 5 weeks had gone by and only 2 out of 10 Art classes have taken place. The teacher had also
been a little direct with kids, telling them she couldn’t take classes as she was busy in other
school activities. Arts is as important as any other subject. It gives you margin of creativity and
power to express your mind out, essential for every child. You may not agree, but it has same
power and effect as any other subject being taught in school.

Class-1B

 School started on 15th Aug, 2022, and to everyone’s knowledge homeroom teacher of 1B left the
school the very next week. There was no new teacher assigned for almost the next 2 weeks,
whereas, the other section 1A had their teacher from day 1 and they are preparing every child
very well for the assessments.
 Now, 2 new teachers have been assigned to 1B a week ago or so. Keeping in view that children
were almost without a proper guide/teacher for so many days, pace of the teachers should have
been slower, so that every child could connect with the teacher as well as understand properly
what they are being taught.
 Subjects like Science and Social Studies need special attention and if you look at the copies the
pages are filled with long question and answers, which kids are unable to even read completely.
 Math workbook and Mental Math books are untouched, just number spellings and ones tens are
done in the copies whereas, few other topics are included in the assessments syllabus.
 English syllabus is too much to cover for a 1 grader, who didn’t have a proper supervision of a
teacher for almost 2 weeks.
 As per teacher, they need to pace up and finish their syllabus for this term as they want to work
side by side with 1A (which had homeroom teacher from the day school opened).

Hope all my queries would be taken care of.I would appreciate acknowledgement of this letter and a
timely reply in order to understand how the school.has taken steps to address the above issues. As
parents, we are always there to support the school on constructive activities to enhance our children's
learning.

I look forward to your reply.
