Levels of product

1. Tangible Product - physical appearance which can be a service or idea.


2. Augmented Product – image and service feature of a certain entity.
3. Generic Product – impact of the product to the consumer.
Types of Product
1. Goods – sale of the physical products from the manufacturer
a. Durable Goods - physical products that are used over a long period of time.
b. Non-durable Goods - physical products that are quickly and easily be consumed or worn
out.
2. Services – intangible products that satisfaction can be measured.
a. Rented Goods Service – the consumer rented facility of the sellers in a certain period of
time.
b. Owned Goods Service – are the repair and maintenance of the services.
c. Non Good Services – personal service on the part of the seller.
Characteristic of Service
1. Intangibility – services cannot be displayed.
2. Credibility – provided most of the time counts.
3. Inseparability – cannot be separated.
4. Variability – it varies upon the performance of the provider.
Consumer Product – these are the goods and services destined for the final consumer.
Convenience Product – knows the product or has the knowledge.
1. Staples – low priced that are routinely purchased.
2. Impulse – consumers does not plan to buy.
