The Department of Education (DepEd) has so far approved 100 public schools that will take part in the pilot
run of limited face-to-face classes starting November 2021. These schools are from areas that are deemed low-risk
for COVID-19 by the Department of Health. It is truly the way to go, however some of parents did not agree with
this setup. According to majority of them, it can affects the health of children including the members of the family.
Without proper guidance of parents, it is possible for the children to get infected by the deadly coronavirus disease
through close contacts among their peers, for the reason inescapable.

Recently, the unexpected surge in COVID cases brought by virus ‘omicron variant’. The spreading of this virus
without close contact is threaten for many Filipino people, specifically for the implementation of face-to-face
classes in some selected regions. Most of the affected in this matter are the students where now commence in the
limited face-to-face classes. Instead of halting this setup because we care for our health, there are schools
continuing the implementation of face-to-face setup.

Moreover, despite of surge of COVID because of new virus known as ‘omicron variant’ that the DepEd
considering more schools for this face-to-face classes. Current, DepEd Sec. Leonor Briones that some 6,213 schools
all over the Philippines are now ready to conduct in person classes now that an Alert 1 status has been
implemented in the National Capital Region as well in other part of country. Since, the vaccination of children age 5
to 18 has now available and contributed to them to ensure their safety

When the parents of the children would be agree with this setup, not all of parents are agree with this some
are hesitant because, they care the safety of their children. But, others are agree in this set up because learning
from school is different from a modular class that some students cannot learn enough knowledge because their
module other parents sometimes do it instead them so regarding in this set up there is a agree and disagree. Let
helps one another instead because, we need a unity in this kind of situation. Implementation of face-to-face
classes are good so that the learners learn but we must be careful.
