A hero, a person who defends and saves others from danger. A superhero in today's
world might be a woman who rescues people from a burning building or a man who
jumps in front of a bullet to save another man. Because they are willing to die in the
defense of their country, many soldiers are regarded as heroes. Medical researchers or
environmental campaigners are also seen as heroes who work to rescue people from
disease or to save the planet. Heroes are chosen by societies to reflect their value. Today's
heroes are faced with war and poverty rather than monsters. Our society needs a hero,
who is willing to take big risks.
Heroes are needed to help, save, protect and make the world a better place. They help
to build a better world for us. Our society needs heroes who risk their lives for the benefit
of others. To maintain peace in the world, stop climate change, to finish poverty, civil
rights, refugees, racial discrimination, and health care availability. But who will be the
hero to save the day? There are only a few heroes working to make the world a better
place. We should all work together to save our land.
If we look aside from the celebrities, there are many heroes who make contributions to
our society like explorers or one of the great medical scientists. An example could be the
Commonwealth community. The Commonwealth is a group of 54 countries that work
together to achieve common goals of prosperity, democracy, and peace. They are a voice
for small states, and help them grow economies, empower young people, address threats
such as climate change, debt and inequality. Climate change campaigning activities, on
the other hand, would raise awareness about climate change! We could raise awareness in
a number of ways, including poster campaigns, speeches, internet postings, and educating
the young.
Poverty is yet another terrible problem for our world. Around 9.25 or 689 million
people live in poverty. Poverty affects many aspects of life, including not being able to
afford access to education, food, health care and job security. There are many countries
who are taking steps to end poverty. So, too, should we. We need to take steps to educate
the youth, support environmental programs, empower women or girls, and to ensure basic
health care. Small steps lead to progress. We are all heroes in our society; all we need to
do is be selfless and work diligently for our society.
Human rights. "Human rights are not a privilege conferred by the government. They
are every human being's entitlement by virtue of his humanity." Human rights belong to
all of us because we all are humans. They are protection for those who face abuse and
isolation. We have to end discrimination and give humans their rights. Connecting to
human rights movements would be great to spread awareness. Participate in peaceful
protests against those upholding human rights. To speak up for what we care about and
stand up against discrimination. As heroes of our society and the world, we should raise
our voice for ourselves and others humans' rights too.
- These are some of the problems faced by our societies. There are few responsibilities
and jobs of heroes. A job description explains it.
