PHLGA Meeting Minutes

Date: September 22, 2022

Call to Order: President Linda Ward called the meeting to order at 12:50 PM.
In Attendance: 18 LGA members

Approval of the Minutes: The July Minutes were approved by a majority vote.

Treasurer’s Report: Emailed by Karen Lord

Operating Fund: $3709.55
Kactus Kapers: $6055.80
Cash in Bank $9765.35
As was the case last month, the only activity in September was the collection of some
Kactus Kapers sponsorships and Border registrations.

Meeting Schedule: Linda initiated discussion of how to set a time for meetings
that would be convenient for players and non-players alike. After lengthy
discussion and trading of ideas, it was decided that the October and November
meetings would take place at 1:00 pm. There was discussion of whether to
change the meeting from a Jill of the Hill day. Linda will email the date of
October’s meeting.

Border: Presented by Donna Lafreniere in Lori’s absence

The last Border event was at Alto, where Janis Paul took first net in her flight.
The next Border tournament will be October 13 at Sierra del Rio.

Kactus Kapers: Presented by Lynn Zeemont
All players were sent an information packet by email from Nick and Mike. Lynn
stated that all are welcome on Friday night to the Calcutta, raffle and 50/50
contests – bring money. Men and non-players can purchase raffle tickets ($10
for 12 tickets) and engage in all betting activities. She urged us to encourage
the men to come to the Friday night events.
After registration, players will have an allowance of $75 each for shopping for
golf merchandise in the Organ Room. On Friday, a bar will be outside the Pro
Shop. Each KK player’s first drink will be paid for by the LGA.
Non-players who want to attend food events are asked to make reservations
through the Pro Shop.

Ringer: Candy reported that there is one more month of Ringer competition
and that she volunteers to run Ringer for another year.

Adjournment: The meeting was adjourned at 1:30 p.m.
