Orders for the 32-oz, 1-1/2-gallon,
and 5-gallon containers will be
placed directly with the Exide
battery distributor using the same
process currently used to order the
Performance batteries. If you are
not signed up for the Performance
Battery Program you need to
establish an account with your local

Electrolyte
When you order acid in the 32-oz, 1-1/2-gallon, or 5-gallon container, the minimum
order quantity will be ten units. If batteries are ordered at the same time, for delivery on
the next route truck, your minimum order is one unit.

Fifty-five-gallon drums will continue to be ordered through the John Deere parts system.
The drums will be sourced direct from Exide and delivered on your next stock order.
There will not be a core charge for the drums and they are not returnable to John Deere.
 Dispose of acid drums properly
Acid drums must be disposed with care. Unless washed, acid drums must be transported as a hazardous
material. Any material remaining in the drums may be a hazardous waste. You should contact your local
waste disposal agency for advice on local drum disposal requirements and recommended waste disposal
companies in your area.

Order methods for CA
Orders for the 20-liter cube are to be placed
on the ST-GE program and can no longer be
ordered directly from Exide. The new 208-
liter acid containers must be placed on a
Stock Order and will be delivered to you
from the US via your Stock Order truck. If
you are not signed up for the Performance
Battery Program you need to establish an
account with your local Exide distributor.
PT21090 – 208 L Electrolyte SWCA20 – 20 L Electrolyte
When you order acid in the 20-liter cube on the GE program, you must have an order of 3 items or more.
This does not mean you need to order 3 of the 20-liter Acid cubes, it means a quantity of at least 3 parts
on the order.
The dealer net price for 208-liter containers of acid includes a container deposit. When the 208-liter acid
container is returned to Exide on the Exide delivery truck, a credit will be issued to the dealer.
Please note: No empty drums will be accepted or credit issued for drums returned in the follow
circumstances - filled with waste oils, chemicals, other liquid materials, damaged drums or missing top
caps.

If you have a local battery acid supplier that you are sourcing or would like to source for
your John Deere battery acid needs, please review all MSDS information below and
make sure that the acid’s specifications are in line with what is specified in the MSDS
document and the Exide Material Specification document in this bulletin. If you purchase
battery acid outside of these specifications, it could affect the performance and safety of
the batteries you fill.
