Ans Everyone admired Cockerel because he had a bright red spiky comb on top of
his head. He told everyone that the red spikes were like flames that could set everything
on fire just in one touch. They did not want the cockerel to set things on fire, so
everyone helped him, did his chores and treated him with respect.

Ans The animals were so angry that they found that the cockerel was a liar. They
sent cockerel and all his hens to the people’s village. They could stay only there if
cockerel crowed at sunrise every morning to wake the people up, and the hens had to
lay eggs for the people to eat.

Ans The fleas on lioness body kept biting her whole day and she could not rest for a
while and so she asked the monkey to help her to get rid of it.

Ans The monkey's thin finger ran through her fur looking for the fleas and squished it.
The lioness felt relaxed and fell asleep. When she woke up she was not able to
stand because the monkey tied her tail around the tree, then she came to realize
that the monkey had played a nasty trick on her.

trees.

Ans Cuka is a lion cub which was different from other lions because his eyes were red
as hot coals in the fire, and they gleamed so brightly that the lions were scared of
him. They called him Cuka, which means 'different from us'.
