THE GEORGEAN PLEDGE
Parents have a unique and sincere concern for their child. The natural
concern can be channelled into more productive and effective caring. Given
below are some relevant points for parents to ponder and practise to help
their child succeed.
Talk to your child about his/ her studies. Help him/ her to develop a
positive attitude towards them.
Learn to appreciate his/ her strengths.
Try to know more about your ward’s curriculum, subjects and study
assignment. Help him/ her in organizing and procuring materials and
be a moral support to your child.
Television at home can distract your ward easily, may be you can help
by sacrificing some things.
Monitor your child’s study habits and improvement on a regular
basis without getting emotional and without nagging.
Foster learning ethics.
Encourage your child to be regular in attending school.
Help your child in preparing a time schedule and help him/ her
in monitoring it.
Help your child by framing questions, making mock papers.
Take mock exam prior to actual exam to build his/ her
confidence.
Provide time for play and relaxation. Don’t expect your child to have
continuous study hours, break is essential.
Encourage your child to read English books and speak in English.
Lay stress on good and neat handwriting.
If you want to meet the class teacher, subject teacher or the
supervisor, write a note in your ward’s diary. The concerned teacher
will give you an appointment.
Kindly inform the class teacher if your ward suffers from any major
ailment.
Inform the class teacher if your ward has any special talent.
Please check your ward’s diary everyday and sign the remarks if any.
Students residing within 1 km radius from school to be encouraged to
walk to school under “walk to school” programme.
75% attendance in the academic year is mandatory for promotion.
It is mandatory to pass in both computer practical and theory
examination separately for promotion.
Let us build a meaningful and synergetic relationship between the school and
home, thereby supporting the child through a secure partnership.
CLASS RULES
Stand up and wish the Principal, Teachers and any guest who visits your
class.
Be positive and build positive self-esteem.
Be regular and punctual to school.
Come in proper school uniform.
Bring your water bottle to school.
Be polite and thankful to others.
Never put off any work for the next day.
Follow the time table religiously.
Make a study schedule for home and follow it regularly.
Maintain the right posture while studying.
Be helpful to others especially your classmates.
Revise the lessons done in the class regularly.
Submit your note books and assignments regularly.
Switch off the fans and lights when not in use.
Use good language and speak in English only.
No one should leave the class–room without a proper class-pass.
Make your bulletin board the best.
School property should be taken care of.
Keep your class-room neat and clean.
Say no to plastic bags.
Use appropriate dustbins.
Save paper, save water, save electricity.
Steps To Fasten the Tie
To tie the Windsor Knot, select a neck tie and stand in front of a
mirror. Then simply follow the steps below:
The CBSE has restored the Board Examination for class X and revised assessment
structure and examination for class X from Academic Year 2017-18 onwards. This new
scheme will bring the uniformity in the system of assessment and examination for classes
IX and X in our CBSE affiliated school. The CBSE has decided to implement the
uniform system of assessment, examination pattern and issue of report cards for classes
VI to VIII also on the similar pattern. The detail components o f the scheme are
mentioned below for easy understanding and implementation.
I) Scholastic Areas:
The assessment structure and examination for classes VI to VIII comprises of two terms i.e.
-Term-1 and 2 as explained below:

(i) Periodic Test (10marks):
The school w ill conduct periodic written tests in each term in the entire academic year.
These are subject-specific activities aimed at enhancing the understanding and skills of the
students.
For the holistic development of the student, co-curricular activities in the following areas will
be carried out by the teachers and will be graded term-wise on a 3-point grading scale .The
aspect of regularity, sincere participation, output and teamwork will be the generic criteria
for grading in the following co-scholastic activities:
The students will also be assessed for the discipline which will be based on the factors like
attendance, sincerity, behaviour , values, and tidiness, respectfulness for rules and
regulations, attitude towards society, nation and others. Grading on Discipline will be done
term-wise on a 3-point grading scale
