1. CONTEXT
It is the thing that has given rise to the problem. This can be treated as the cause behind the
problem. It indicates the background of the problem. Also, context will explain the environment in
which target system will be used
Blood donation is a serious issue and its shortage might cause people to lose
their lives. Lack of proper management of records might lead to loses. Now an
automated system is required to manage and showcase the information to
interested parties. We have proposed a system for easy management of blood
donation activities. The proposed system will enable people to register as a
donor whenever a required blood type is required. The patients would also be
able to search for the donors and specific blood type using the search tab. Also
the information regarding the donors will also be visible to patients, which will
make it easier for patients to contact them. Also the health related details of both
patients and donor will be updated in the database. Chatbot attached will update
all regarding blood donation camps and will be useful for query discussion.

2. PROBLEM
It indicates description of the recurring issue of the system under consideration. List all the issues
faced by the current system.
Records of the donors and the patients are saved in the file formats. The blood
test and transfusion reports are also stored in paper format. Data processing is
time consuming in such formats and may lead to human errors. Information
retrieval in such a way might put the life of patient in danger in crucial situation.
Information security and backup is also a important point to be considered as the
papers might get stolen or misplaced. Also the status of availability of blood is
not accessible by all stakeholders like patients, doctors, donors at a time. The
donor information and health details are not directly accessible to the patients in
emergency situations.

3. SOLUTION
Resolution of problem indicating the impact of the problem on user / stakeholder. All the “System
will perform/do” statements will come here.
The system will propose a website useful for managing all the records in the
blood donation and useful in the emergency situations. Donors can communicate
with other donors using the Chatbot attached, during emergencies. All the
records are computerized and database is used to store the records and display
and sort the data efficiently. The proposed system is centralized which means
that single system can be used by lot of people at a time for different purposes
using same module with different functionality and system can be accessed by
anyone having internet connection and browser.

4. BENEFITS
The benefits offered to customer by the target system. Examples: Ease of use, ability to perform
certain tasks, ability to maintain records, etc. The examples listed here are generic i.e. they are
applicable to many systems. You need to write benefits specific to your system

1. It provides the unique identification number at the time of blood donation
camp which helps him for the future correspondence. MIS gives the unique
user id and password for those donors who are applying online.

2. They can edit their information time to time. This feature helps administrator to
collect the information of all the donors area wise and blood group wise.

3. Donors can view the blood donation camp organising at the different places.

4. As it is a web based application, its index page encourages the donor to

donate the blood.

5. Donor can check the status of the particular blood group just on one click
sitting at home.
