Greetings in Christ! Deacon Jonathan Geary

It is a pleasure to provide an update on the Lord's work in Madison, IN. Our origins stretch
back to 2019, when exploratory efforts led to a core group of 15 people. In 2020, we held
weekly meetings and frequent community events. In 2021, we began worship services. And
in the last year, the Lord has kindly added to our number. We are currently at 33 souls,
with 6 more to be added by early October.

As I have reported in previous newsletters, time has not been kind to Madison's churches.
Week by week, local people—including pastors—tell me horror stories about the things
being allowed to happen in their congregations. Too many to count. And there are no
NAPARC churches nearby. Madison needs a gospel witness badly. I am humbled and
pleased that our kind God has allowed Madison Reformed Church to be such a witness.

In March, we moved locations, to an historic

one-room church downtown. As the only
tenants of the building, we moved our service
to the morning, we gather for other events
like Bible studies and potlucks, and we will
begin a catechism service in October.

Because of these things, we have been able to

meet and reconnect with many people,
"churched" and "unchurched" alike. Join us in
giving thanks to God for these updates, as
well as asking him to prosper this work.

 Updates & Milestones
February: baptism of our newest
covenant child, Lizzie Malcom.
March: moved into the historic AME
Church (pictured left).
June: welcomed 10 more people into
membership.
July: fellowship lunches for the whole
congregation began at two of our
families' homes.
August: ordination of our first lay
officer, deacon Jonathan Geary (M.A.,
from RTS Orlando).
September: we will welcome 5 more
people into formal membership.
October: baptism of an adult covert.
