What do you understand for personal information?


R: For me it is any information that allows to identify a person from his name to his
identity number, address where he receives and telephone number.

What data corresponds to personal information?

R: name, identification number, telephone number, address, marital status, number


of sons.

How can you ask a person about their personal information?

R: What’s your name? Where do you work? Where are you from? How old are you?
Are you married or single?

2. Create a business card using your personal information. Use the image as
an example. Take into account:

- Position in the company
- Contact information

R: Communication is exchanging information by transmitting and receiving


messages between a sender a receiver.

- How do we use communication at work? Give some examples.

R: Communication is how we get information to each other we have many ways of

R: My passive and quiet personality makes people treat me differently from the way
they are used to treat others.

- Who can you communicate with in a casual or informal way?


R: in a formal way I communicate with people with whom I have had little or no
communication in order to generate respect, in an informal way I communicate with
my mother, brother, and friends of many years with whom I already have confidence
and can speak more explicitly.

3.3. Reading practice

Before Reading the text, discuss the following questions:

Do you think it is necessary to have a communication code at work? Give


examples.
R: I think they are necessary, to communicate in an assertive way with more
colleagues in the office in order to improve our productivity, teamwork and decision
making among all, for example by holding assemblies, discussions among team
members to make the best decision.

What can you say about formal and informal communication? Describe.

R: I think that formal communication between one or more people makes it clear that
there is a certain respect between everyone that must be maintained in the work
environment even with people with a higher position and importance in a company,
while informal communication is good for more relaxed environments such as being
at home or meeting with friends where in some ways it is not so formal because
there is more confidence and people already know you and you can express yourself
without restrictions.
