Sneaker with Air Pump as Shoelace Replacement

Chapter 1: Introduction
1.1 Background of the Study
We are all aware that when we leave the house, our feet need to be
supported by something, which is why shoes are developed. Many different styles
of shoes have been developed, and the types continue to improve through time.

Egyptians are the one who began making shoes from woven reeds as early as
1500BC. Different materials are used to make shoes. It could be made of foam,
leather, rubber, synthetic materials, or fabrics.

1.2 Objectives

 Replace the shoelace within the improvised air pump sneakers.

 This project aims to reduce the time of wearing shoes.
 To reduce some accidents caused by sneakers with laces.

1.3 Statement of The Problem

Wearing sneakers with laces somestimes become a hassle due to the pulling and
tying of laces. Even an Untied shoelaces can be a cause of accident when the
wearer of the sneaker accidentally stepped it.

This study aims to answer questions:

1. How this project can help us?
2. Is this project easy to break?
3. What kind of material did you use when you replaced the shoelace?

1.4 Significance of the Study

The project “Sneaker with Air Pump as Shoelace Replacement” is done to

help people who are in a hurry and have difficulty wearing shoes because they are
tight and cannot be put on immediately.

One of the solutions of this problem is by putting a small air pump on the
upper part. By means of compression, the wearer can enjoy the comfortability of
wearing shoes. Just wear your sneakers then press several times the built in pump
and air will compress the sneaker until it fits your foot. By opening the bottom on
the pump, air will be released until you can remove your foot easily.

1.5 Scope and Limitation

This study focuses on how air pumps can be used for different applications
besides aquariums, vacuum cleaners, ponds, and other things that they are typically
used for to inflate air. What I'm trying to say is that Air Pump has a variety of
applications, including this one.
This study also aims for those people who is lazy enough to wear their shoes
and having a hard time to wear their shoes.
