Think about what local issues you’re already passionate about, or the names of organizations in your
community you would like to volunteer for.
Ask your friends and family what their favorite volunteer experience has been, to gain an insight into what people
enjoy about volunteering and for new ideas on how you can take action!
You can plan multiple small volunteer actions throughout your school and community, or put all your effort into
planning one big event! Encourage students and community members to come together and plan some inspiring
actions. By engaging in meaningful volunteering, you and your community can learn what it means to be a
volunteer— to help others, make positive changes and boost the moods of yourself and others!
In Volunteering keeps you in touch with people and builds a strong support network, which protects you
from stress and despair during difficult times. Animal interaction has been demonstrated to increase mood and
reduce stress and anxiety.
I will hold my volunteer week or event if there is enough planning for one event and I think I can do it.
My volunteer goal is to help others and to prove to myself that I can do all things.
How will you be measuring how much you volunteer? By hours? By actions?
In terms of time, I think if you love or if you are willing to volunteer, you can do it very fast. In terms of
action, I know that I can do it because I’m a volunteer and all I want is to achieve my volunteer goal.
More people means more impact! How will you rally together and increase participation in your campaign?
I agree, and I believe that if you have an event, you need more people to help you because if you have a
large group, it is easier to finish the event and, with the help of others, you can do whatever you want.
As soon as a community has common knowledge of the difficulties produced by trash, it may begin to take actions
to address those problems, beginning with initiatives that are most appropriate for the community's needs and
talents and progressing from there. In our community, we have a "Community Solid Waste Program." We always
clean our surroundings, especially our canals. Sometimes, I volunteer to help our barangay official with this
program.
I have a friend who is presently enrolled in a medical technology degree, and when I questioned him about his
favorite volunteer experience, he said that it was MBD (Blood Donation) in San Juan, Batangas, where he currently
resides. He told me that he takes blood from a large number of willing donors and that he likes the experience.
What he really wants is to have a memorable experience.
