Course Title Teaching Science in the Elementary Grades (Physics, Earth and
Space Science)
Course Description The course includes understanding of spiraling basic science
concepts and application of science inquiry in Physics, Earth and
Space, strategies in teaching elementary science, development of
instructional materials and assessment. Content topics in Physics
include Force and Motion, and Energy while Earth and Space
Science include Geology, Meteorology, and Astronomy.

Course Objectives At the end of this course, students are expected to:

space;
2. Identify the different methods and techniques of
teaching physics, earth and space science in
elementary;
3. Develop instructional materials and assessment for
teaching elementary science;
4. Conduct demo-teaching applying the appropriate

● Default deadline of submission is every Friday, 5pm
unless specified.
● Assignments MUST be a work of individual effort and not
copied from a classmate.
