Title Defense in Practical Research 2

A. Format
The research title defense paper should contain the following parts:
1. Research Title
2. Background of the Study: In here, the following questions should be addressed:
a. Why did you choose this study?
b. Describe the setting or the place where the research will be taking place.
c. Why is there a need for your research/ topic to be studied?
d. What is the over-all benefits that may be derived from your study?
3. Research Questions: List the questions your research will answer.
4. Data Gathering Procedure with Flowchart:
a. How are you going to answer your research questions?
b. How will you collect your data?
5. Research Locale: Where is the setting of your study?
6. Respondents: Who will be your subject(s)?
7. References: Use APA 7th Edition including the citation

B. Guidelines

1. Prepare three (3) title proposals following the said format.


2. The title proposal must be stated on a future tense to explain how will you do your
research since this is still a title proposal.
3. Provide soft copies and hard copies of your title proposal.
The paper margin should in Normal margin.
Font style: Times New Roman
Size: 12
Spacing: Double Spacing (2.0) - remove spacing
Alignment: Justified
Paper size: 8.5 x 11 (short bond paper).
4. In-text citations should be made and references should also be compiled at the end of the
paper following the APA Format.
5. Three (3) copies of the paper should be submitted on the scheduled date and time of the
title defense i.e. one (1) copy per panel member. Soft copies will be submitted through
Google Classroom.
6. Paper should be stapled or clipped. Do not use folder. Please ensure to send the PPT of
your title proposal to or on or before October 2, 2022.
7. On the day of the title defense, please wear smart casual or corporate attire.
