THE FUNDAMENTALS OF SOCIAL PSYCHOLOGY

The scientific study of people's feelings, thoughts, and behaviors in real and
imagined social situations is known as social psychology. It entails comprehending how
people influence (and are influenced by) those around them. An overview of the
scientific method as it applies to the systematic study of human cognition, emotion, and
behavior. Among the topics covered are behavioral fundamentals, learning,
conditioning, development, cognitive processes, perception, emotion, personality, and
psychopathology. A special emphasis is placed on the application of the scientific
method to the study of human nature. Students who successfully complete the course
will have a general understanding of the established knowledge in these areas, as well
as the methods used by psychologists to acquire that knowledge.

Social psychology is a branch of psychology concerned with how social
influences affect how people think, feel, and act. The way we perceive ourselves in
relation to the rest of the world plays an important role in our choices, behaviors, and
beliefs. Conversely, the opinions of others also impact our behavior and the way we
view ourselves. Understanding social psychology can be useful for many reasons. First,
we can better understand how groups impact our choices and actions. There are
some basic aspects of social behavior that play a large role in our actions and how we
see ourselves.
