Background
Illiteracy in VAT amongst ordinary people results in over-budgeting because families do not take
into consideration VAT revenue and purposes of VAT.

The CALA:
Develop a research plan in order to come up with a brief report outlining how you can offer a
solution to the above-mentioned problem. The plan shall encompass the following parts A, B & C.
Part A Collect receipts from goods purchased at home.
Part B Analyse how VAT is calculated
CALA Tips: Interview family members and teachers at your school.
