Purpose and Description:

Travel-care: Barugo Integrated Terminal Passenger’s Guide Mobile

Application with SMS Notification is a mobile application that will allow users to
access the available trip and respective routes of Mini-buses and Vans in Barugo
Integrated Terminal. The users can have a reservation for a seat on a particular mini-
bus or van on a particular rout and trip schedule. This will help limit the chances of
possible travels of a passenger going to terminal for a trip on a mini-bus or van. This
system could also help the management of the terminal to monitor the daily trip
including the passenger’s records

 What is the function of your study?

To provide a mobile application that could guide passengers when they travel.
It could give an easier and safer way of having a trip specially to those
passengers that has limited money to spent for a fare, to those who are in a
rush, and to those who doesn’t know the regular schedule and routs of the
mini-buses and vans in Barugo, Leyte. It could also be used as monitoring the
daily trip of min-buses and vans including the passengers.

 What is good in your study?

This system could be a big help to the passengers of mini-buses and vans that
has long distance travels. Users of this system could reduce time, money, and
effort when they are about to travel with mini-bus or van. They could also
check the basic information of the drivers and assistant drivers of the mini-bus
and vans for their confidence and comfortability before they travel.

 What makes your thesis unique and relevant?

This system has an on-time response to the user and is a very useful for both
passengers and the management of the terminal. Passengers could be
confident and have a comfortable trip and the management could monitor the
terminal including the passengers with this system.
Objectives of the Study:

General Objective: This project aimed to develop a mobile application that

could guide passengers in order to have a safer and easier way of having a
trip.

Specific Objectives:

• To develop a mobile application that will display the current

schedule and route of the mini-buses and vans in a particular
terminal.
• To develop a mobile application that will also display the basic
information of the drivers and driver’s assistants of the mini-buses
and vans in a particular terminal.
• To be able to generate storage for the passenger’s information
and reservation.
