Mr. and Ms.

Vetmed 2023 Mechanics

1. Each year level is required to have a candidate. Candidates must be bonafide students of CBSUA College of Veterinary
Medicine.
2. For PV1 and PV2, they are required to have at least 2 pairs of candidates.
3. Submission of the names of candidates shall be made on or before February 19, 2023, Sunday, 5 pm.
a. Failure to enlist candidates, each student shall be fined an amount of PHP 50 (no male candidate) and PHP 50 (no
female candidate).
4. There will be 5 categories:
● Production- Vetmed shirt
● Smart Casual Attire
● School Uniform
● Formal Attire
● Q and A
5. There will be a photoshoot wearing their uniform (school or org) and prescribed theme: EUPHORIA which will be taken on
February 25, 2022, 1pm onwards. Failure to participate in the said photoshoot without a formal excuse letter would
automatically disqualify the said candidate and the same fines would be imposed. However, candidates who are not available
on the said date but had provided an excuse letter will push through with the competition but they will not be subjected to the
selection of Mr. and Ms. Photogenic.
● Photos taken during the photoshoot will be used to select the People’s Choice award following the mechanics
below
○ Like and follow the official page of the CBSUA College of Veterinary Medicine for your vote to be valid
○ Support your candidate by hitting the ‘heart’ react on their picture. 1 react is equal to 1 point.
○ Voting will end on March 8, 2023 at 11:59pm
○ The winner will be determined through the number of ‘heart’ reacts and will be announced on the pageant day,
March 9, 2023, 2pm onwards at Robinsons Place Naga
6. It is encouraged for the candidates to have all their attires ready before the pageant to avoid delays
7. Candidates would only be allowed to bring one make-up artist and 2 personal assistants on the pageant day
8. The use of props for each exposure is allowed as long as it goes along with the theme of the segment
9. The winner for Mr. and Ms. Veterinary Medicine 2023 would represent the college next school year for the Mr. and Ms.
CBSUA Pili Campus Intramurals.
10. The decision of the judges is final and irrevocable.

o Motorcade/ Parade

• March 9 (2:00 pm)
o Pageant proper

▪ Evening gown/ Formal Attire
▪ School Uniform
• Organizations will wear the prescribed school uniform, not org shirt
• Pre-Vet 1 will wear the white uniform currently used by Prevet 2-DVM2
 • Dos: props like bag, clipboard, steth
• Don’ts: props like lab gown

• Opening production
o Self introduction
▪ Name, age, Year Level/ organization you represent, quote or statement to make your introduction creative
• Advocacy or speech regarding the theme or the veterinary medicine field
o 3rd POV
o Max of 200 words
o Format: Essay type, pdf
o To be read by the host during the formal attire portion
o DUEDATE: March 1, 2023, 11:59 pm
o File Name format: Full name_Year Level/Organization you represent
o Failure to submit on the deadline means disqualification on the selection on Best Formal Attire category. Late
submission will mean deduction of 10 points from the same category.
