to click on the appropriate zoom links. See the website starting Tuesday evening for the
specific teacher Zoom links. The schedule below shows the time each period starts.

This year Nevada Union has a new 4x8 Schedule. Students have 8 classes. Please zoom into
the correct class your student has and follow the schedule below by period.
Zero Period: 5:15pm.

NU Site Council
Site Council Nominations will be taken up until 8:00pm at Back to School Night.

Each year we elect two new parents to the board for a two-year term. More information can be
found at numiners.com on the Information tab / site council.

If you are interested in participating in Site Council, please click this link to submit your
nomination. The meeting dates are listed on the Information Tab under Site Council.

The Nevada Union High School Site Council (SSC) is an elected or selected group representative
of the school’s staff, parents, and students. All members, with the exception of the principal, are
elected or selected by their peer group. The principal is assigned to serve as a permanent, voting
member on the council. The SSC shall ensure parity between (a) the principal, classroom teachers,
and other school personnel; and (b) parents or other community members selected or elected by
parents. Classroom teachers shall comprise the majority of persons represented under subdivision
(a) of this section.
The responsibilities of the SSC are to:
• Annually facilitate the revision/update of the school goals, improvement strategies and planned
expenditures which are outlined in the Single School Plan for Student Achievement
• Ensure the school goals and improvement strategies are measurable and based on an analysis
of verifiable state and local data
• Ensure the goals, improvement strategies, and proposed expenditures are legally compliant
and support the district’s goals and Local Educational Agency plan.
• Seek input from all advisory committees
• Approve and recommend the updated Single School Plan to the local governing board for their
approval
• Monitor the implementation of the approved School Plan, making modifications as necessary
• Measure the effectiveness of the improvement strategies and expenditures
• Maintain documentation of all SSC actions and activities for three years.
