The Secret Garden

Located within easy reach of Belfast, Hidden Huntley is tucked away in ve acres of beautiful private
grounds  (within the boundary of the Lagan Valley Regional Park.) - a green and peaceful oasis in
which to slow down, switch off and recharge your batteries while surrounded by nature.
Huntley,one of the ‘Linen Houses' of the Lagan Valley’ was built in the early 19th century for a linen
merchant and, for nearly ve years, owner Antonia Malcolm ran a very  successful B&B until Covid
struck. 
Finding a ‘pandemic pivot’ was required, she decided to offer, instead, the garden and grounds as a
venue.  Launched in April 2021, Hidden Huntley has already proved to be a very versatile space and is
the perfect venue for small and informal weddings, family gatherings, art and craft workshops,
meetings and a wide variety of well-being events.

 THE STUDIO

The grounds include a large and very productive Victorian walled kitchen garden with glasshouse and
extensive lawns, small woodland areas, an orchard, a tennis court and two barns in the farmyard. 
There is also a light and spacious 80m2 rst oor studio, with an additional room on the ground oor,
converted from what was originally a carpentry workshop and staff accommodation for the
house.  There are mature trees and shrubs throughout the grounds and plenty of colour and structure in
the garden all year round.
Hidden Huntley is what could best be described as a ‘blank canvas’ venue with a friendly, relaxed
atmosphere and guests are invited to bring what they need to create their own bespoke event.  There is
a certain amount of equipment (tables & chairs) offered for guests’ use which is included in the price and
there are also three white 6m x 3m pop-up gazebos available for hire.  There is a good WiFi signal in the
garden and parking available for up to 16 cars.
There is no on-site catering service but, instead, a very good selection of local providers who will deliver
and Antonia is happy to offer suggestions.

has single room
accommodation for 24 people, or a
combination of single and shared
accommodation for 27 people.  14 of these
rooms are en-suite.
In addition, 9  en-suite rooms  are available
in the house across the garden, bringing the
total number of rooms up to 33 (23 en-suite
and 9 standard) – that is, single room
accommodation for 33 people or 36 where
some people share accommodation. (There
are  3 twin r oom; though some rooms have
small double beds, suitable for couples.).

Situated in 'The Scalp' on the Dublin / Wicklow border Knockrose Garden is a place of peace and
tranquillity, where it is blissfully easy to forget about the frantic pace of the 21st century and relax
to a more natural and healing pace. The traditional farm buildings, dating from 1750, have the 'Pale
Ditch' marking the historic boundary of South County Dublin on one side and The Scalp woods
marking the start of the rugged Wicklow Mountains on the other.
The tastefully renovated traditional farm buildings include the  Calm House    and the  Garden
Studio. The Calm House is available to hire for Micro Wedding Ceremonies and other small events.
Situated 500 feet above sea level and sheltered by the soaring heights of 'The Scalp' the scents and
colours of the organic Cottage Garden is a joy to the senses. Sitting on a tri-vortex of ley lines the
unique atmosphere enables visitors to feel very protected and to become at peace with
themselves. The  Garden Studio  (which is available to rent) is a wonderful place to create and
exhibit art, share knowledge, or just enjoy a cup of tea after seeing the garden.

The Garden Studio was converted from the original cowshed into a beautiful, warm and
bright multi-purpose studio and is suitable for hosting a range of di erent events, such as:

 Art workshops and classes : Art exhibitions : Sculpture exhibitions

 Craft classes : Holistic groups
 Small conferences: Meetings.
It’s also used as the tea room for large visiting parties.

The Calm House
The Calm House was converted from the original calf shed into a beautiful, warm and
bright multi-purpose group room.

The Calm House is suitable for hosting a range of di erent events, such as:

Accredited Reiki Courses

Reiki is a deeply relaxing healing technique based on the principle that you can channel energy to
activate the natural healing process, restoring physical and emotional well-being.
Reiki is a therapy completely based on energy and relaxation. The different levels help give you the
tools for managing stress and learning how to relax easier, both personally or to share with family
and friends or by practicing it professionally.

Reiki Level 1 gives you the tools for individual stress relief, becoming more aware of everything
around you and when completed, affords you to be able to attend any Reiki Share in the country.
Reiki Level 2 goes deeper helping you heal mentally and emotionally.
Practitioner Level is appropriate if you decide to do Reiki professionally.
Reiki Level 3 is a spiritual level or master level allowing you to share the different Levels with
others.

The Shambala Holistic Centre

Sukhada runs The Shambala Holistic Centre in Co. Fermanagh. The Centre is located along the
shores of Upper Lough Erne. Lake Isle Retreats run weekly weekend Retreats from the centre. 

The Centre has a beautiful round room for Yoga, ( Restorative Reiki Yoga) Workshops and Sound
Baths. Sukhada runs her own Retreats separate from Lake Isle Retreats and Shambala can be hired

 GORSE HILL is a non-residential retreat centre in Greystones, Co. Wicklow.  Set among four acres
of gardens with stunning sea views, this is a beautiful and tranquil venue.

The gardens and house offer space for up to fteen people where holistic healing groups, artists
and writers might meet for a day or longer to work together in an inspiring setting. 

Inside the Retreat Centre, there is a large workspace with wooden oor and lots of light from its
many windows. There is a breathtaking view of the sea and Dublin Bay. There are plenty of
