1.) What is Understanding the Self?

Understanding the self means knowing who you are deeply. Knowing yourself is always knowing your
uniqueness and your identity, how distinct you are from others. just like our thoughts from every
perspective you can see. Also, knowing our unique personalities' strengths and weaknesses,
understanding ourselves also means traits, potential, and characteristics. As we can learn to understand
who we are and what we feel, it is very important. This will give us an opportunity to change or improve
ourselves and will enable us to establish a life that we want. By appreciating ourselves, we can
understand ourselves, our real self, because then we can be able to change certain things and improve
our personality.

2.) Is it important in the curriculum?

For me, yes, understanding oneself is very important in the curriculum. It is important because, first, it
will help the student understand and know themselves. Second, this would have an impact on the
students' lives as they go deeply into knowing themselves. They will not get out of control and destroy
their self-esteem because they might think that if people knew what they were really feeling all the
time. Third, it will enhance the students' understanding of emotions and experiences. Lastly, once the
student understands what they are really feeling, they will feel more comfortable expressing themselves
and their emotions.

3.) How will it help me as a student and as person?

Understanding myself will help me enhance my mental and emotional intelligence. It will help me with
making decisions and judgments in life. It will shape me as a person. It will improve my confidence, and
through this I can let go of all of my self-doubt and express myself freely. It will improve my morals and
values. Lastly, it will also help you recognize your worth.
