Huawei RTN510 works at an unlicensed 4.91–5.97 GHz frequency band and can be flexibly deployed in LOS
and NLOS scenarios. The RTN510 supports sector or linear networking to match area coverage and linear
scenarios.
The RTN510 PtMP network consists of one central site (including one AP and sector antenna) and multiple
remote sites (namely, a maximum of 64 RTs). Each AP supports 750 Mbps throughput.
The RTN510 PtP network uses an AP that is the same as that in the RTN510 PtMP network, and uses a
directional antenna to provide long-haul transmission. It supports up to 750 Mbps throughput.

What Is WDM?
What Is Microwave?
Glossary
Portfolio

What Is WDM?

WDM technology lets a fiber carry over 80 wavelengths at the same time. This 10 to
100-fold increase in transmission capacity helps save huge amounts of fiber resources.
WDM also makes low-cost and ultra-long-haul transmission possible. The WDM system
uses advanced coding technologies and error correction algorithms to transmit services
over thousands of kilometers without regeneration, greatly reducing transmission costs.

What Is Microwave?

Microwaves are electromagnetic waves ranging from 0.3 GHz to 300 GHz in frequency.
Microwave communication uses microwaves to carry information through electromagnetic
fields. Compared with optical fiber communication, microwave communication is cheaper
to construct, more adaptable in complex terrains, and faster to deploy. It is widely used for
base station backhaul, video surveillance backhaul, home broadband, and enterprise
private lines.
